The probability of being struck by lightning on friday the thirteenth at thirteen hours and thirteen minutes past zero hour is .0000000042658731796577172638515046336598 or 4.2658731796577172638515046336598e-9.

Oh you!
The hard part with probability is the intervalls, since you did not specify over how long time this applies to. Every second? Every lifetime? What?

In what may be the world's unluckiest injury — a UK boy has been struck by lightning at 13:13pm on Friday the 13th.
The boy was hit on the second day of an air festival in Lowestoft in the country's east, the Daily Mail reports.
Ambulance crews realised the eerie time the boy had been struck as they were treating him.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he is expected to make a full recovery.
"This was a very minor burn to the boy's shoulder, but he was conveyed to hospital and is recovering well," ambulance officer Jason Gillingham was quoted as saying.[/release]

I feel bad now, my day was going so well, and then I find out bad shit happens to someone else. My positive karma gives someone else negative karma. Fuck this world.

Aw crap. I didn't even think of that at the time.
Well, the statistics of lightning strikes is 1/280000 per year, and the probability of any friday in four hundred years (based on cycling of the 1933 gregorian calendar) and the probability of minutes being the same as the hour.
So I cannot think of a time frame at the moment that would fit into these statistics.
Come back later in 2013. :v:

ahah gave me a good laugh
looks like a strike of bad luck.
he did not get struck by lightning at 13:13 PM, he got struck by lightning at 1:13 PM, that is infinitely less unlucky sounding :colbert:
Holy crap
I would have been there if the weather had been better, that could've been me :ohdear:

Australia use both, we don't have a lot of intelligent smart beings in a crowded thong fest country.

Hi, Was that sarcasm or..
what
actually i believe this event occurred 1:13 am on Saturday
what else could "13 hours 13 minutes after Friday midday" amount to???
Awesome, I was very close to lowestoft (norwich to be precise) at that time, the rain was crazily heavy, unfortunately I was on a bike ride.
It would of been amazing even more if he was 13 years old, That he had 13 people near him
and if it put him in a coma for 13 hours
That, and The Sun.
The Sun is owned by News Corp.
Fox is owned by News Corp.
Go figure :v:
isn't the daily mail pretty much the fox news of the UK?
Naw, it's nowhere near as bad (IMO the daily mail isn't really that bad at all if you take it with a pinch of salt). Our political spectrum is much more central than the US's, so we don't get crazy people like Fox news.
That said, the Sun is terrible.
omg i got electrocuted by an electric fence on at 20:13 on Friday 13th what a coincidence
isn't the daily mail pretty much the fox news of the UK?
I think The Sun would fit that spot better
I was in lowestoft in my bed! I went down the day before but got absolutely soaked and couldn't be bothered with going again the next day as i was pretty hungover. He's pretty unlucky seeing as the beach is packed with like 100,000 people during the airshow, and there are much higher things around.
