You can't be proud of anything that you haven't done yourself. What's not to understand in that. The pride of homosexuals is an entirely different thing, in that regard pride has a totally different context and thuas meaning. This whole problem wouldn't exist if the government had not cut the police budget every year for a long time. Doubt any of those gangs would get much of a foothold if people would trust the capabilities of the police. No one in the government talk about those thousands of police who had been laid off prior to any of this, no one even mentions police budget and all the stations around different parts of finland which have been shut down. Then again what do you expect when most politicians reside in the most densely populated metropolitan area in the country where everything is close by, including police. While in some areas you have to wait the police for hours if they even bother to come. Don't take this wrong i don't endorse those gangs in any way, i am just saying if the government would have acted more reasonable to the fears of the population none of this would have even happened. But they just like to hide away any and all problems and wish they'd go away. Which is why we are still going so badly here.

Crime and sexual violence seem to be on the rise and Finland seems to be cutting everything to accommodate refugees. I can easily see how the far right is rising.

In Finland, neighborhood watch are legal, as long as they don't break the law, i.e. arm themselves with weapons. Crimes done by neighborhood watches are investigated by the police as such (in a year or so, depending on the area and priority of the case, there's a bit of shortage of cops), and the police don't even really like Soldiers of Odin, or neighborhood watches in general. The persons may also be dissociated from the group, or is it an organization? Neighborhood watch activity is notably common in the United States, who also must obey the law as is only natural.
