Pretty much all the roads are like that in the UK. Where I live, they tend to "fix" that by slapping tarmac over it which just forms another irregularity with the rest of the road by raising it slightly. It's mental trying to ride a motorbike on British roads, especially if it's a smaller bike with smaller wheels.
Got to disagree, never seen roads like that in the UK.
• £100m for a new prison in Wales
I can design it, i have built awesome prisons in the past in prison architect, most recently i achieved a death rate of just 5 inmates per day, pretty big feat.
I imagine that's low for a welsh prison.

It's super common, they only really fix busy main roads, most side roads are riddled with pot holes.

Because the government directly funds major roads - your county or borough council funds all your other local roads, so repairs are... piecemeal at best.
Finally, for such a small country it's ridiculous how poor our infrastructure can be at times.

It depends where you live. My council seems on the ball with repairs for the most part. however in other places, even some busy roads can be very rough.
