Well I am one of his fans so I guess I offend myself too.
Weren't you one of the main people supporting Tropes vs Women? Hand-waving song about raping women away but getting upset every time Mario has to save the princess is one hell of a feat of mental gymnastics.
Nah man, I've been to a few OF shows. Most of the fans are just shitty little potheads who spend too much money on hats. Nobody I've EVER met that likes OF legitimately thinks they're dark or serious.
Odd Future fans are awful, but they're not dangerous. At least in my own experience.
exactly. it's just a shitty brand. no content, no value
i don't feel "sorry" for her I am only condemning tyler's actions.
And not hers? Because you agree with her point of view, correct?
They know the danger. Much like this lady should. I'll let you get to both of the posts you're probably about to see before I reply with the same thing again.
So it really just sounds like you're holding her responsible for something someone else did.
i don't feel "sorry" for her I am only condemning tyler's actions.
that's his image though; tyler is that way
he shouldn't have to be any sort of new way just because someone gets mad at his music.
protesting tyler for being sexist is a waste of time. there are other avenues to pursue that aren't self endangering and more effective.
And not hers? Because you agree with her point of view, correct?
What did she do wrong?
And not hers? Because you agree with her point of view, correct?
not necessarily. i don't agree with the basis of her beliefs or her methods, regardless of both of those I think tyler is in the wrong

saying it is his "image" is a complete BS deflection that essentially rids him of any responsibility for his actions.
So it really just sounds like you're holding her responsible for something someone else did.
I've already established that I'm not a fan of Tyler the Creator's attitude. I posted it back a few pages. That's why I don't listen to his music, or go to his concerts. I don't agree with his actions, but I also understand it's a part of his act. I think protesting was an incredibly stupid thing to do, especially when there's only people there that support his attitude. I believe both parties are at fault.

I still play those games. I also still listen to Tyler's music. I don't like the messages or lyrics in either. Regardless what you're saying is irrelevant.

precisely. he's not responsible to anyone's feelings just because he's famous.
protesting tyler for being sexist is a waste of time. there are other avenues to pursue that aren't self endangering and more effective.
this has essentially devolved into the few sane people here, and the few feminists who think Tyler is in the wrong
regardless if he shouldn't have done it or not, she shouldn't have put herself in that situation.
oh well, nobody will care/remember in a few days, we'll go back to posting pictures of cats on the internet
i'm out, this is just pointless arguing for the sake of arguing at this point
everything that could've been said had been said
What did she do wrong?
Trying to revoke his Visa because she doesn't like what he's saying is pretty rude.
not necessarily. i don't agree with the basis of her beliefs or her methods, regardless of both of those I think tyler is in the wrong.
We've established this. Do you think the lady that was yelled at is entirely innocent?
precisely. he's not responsible to anyone's feelings just because he's famous. grow up.
He should be respectful of someone's beliefs if they're not directly harming him or anyone else because he is an adult. I don't care if her feelings were hurt I care about the fact that he did what he did for no reason other than the fact that she was protesting him. He should grow up and get over it instead of crying yelling like a child because she protested him.
moreover it's stupid to think that calling her a bitch etc makes him responsible for the actions of the fans, in the event that they got violent. he's not fucking Marilyn Manson
swag on my dick
exactly. it's just a shitty brand. no content, no value
Nah, man. I wouldn't go that far. I'm all about giving credit where it's due. All the cats in OF have at least a mediocum of talent in them.
except jasper
He should be respectful of someone's beliefs if they're not directly harming him or anyone else because he is an adult male. He should grow up and get over it instead of crying yelling like a child because she protested him.
and that's where you're wrong. she was actively trying to get him banned from an entire fucking country. I'd call that harm.
this has essentially devolved into the few sane people here, and the few feminists who think Tyler is in the wrong
I wouldn't go that far. I do think there is confusion as to what each side thinks. I'm doing my best to explain how I think the both of us feel.
I still play those games. I also still listen to Tyler's music. I don't like the messages or lyrics in either. Regardless what you're saying is irrelevant.
okay wait before I go
YOU'RE GIVING THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS, AND YOU DON'T AGREE WITH WHAT THEY'RE SAYING. How is that NOT redundant to you? You're only contributing to what you hate.
this has essentially devolved into the few sane people here, and the few feminists who think Tyler is in the wrong
Thinking that telling a women you hope her kids get stds is wrong = your a feminist
regardless if he shouldn't have done it or not, she shouldn't have put herself in that situation.
Regardless of if what he did was wrong it was her fault? I hope you don't apply this logic to things like rape and murder.
it's not her right to keep him out of a country because she doesn't like what he says
Regardless of if what he did was wrong it was her fault? I hope you don't apply this logic to things like rape and murder.
Let's not bring buzzwords into this. Nobody needs that.
Trying to revoke his Visa because she doesn't like what he's saying is pretty rude.

it's really not relevant to me. she could have done much worse and i still think he would have been in the wrong
Regardless of if what he did was wrong it was her fault? I hope you don't apply this logic to things like rape and murder.
i hope you don't liken people hollering things at you to rape and murder because that's incredibly childish and demeaning to the victims of those crimes
Let's not bring buzzwords into this. Nobody needs that.
how is rape a buzzword
it's really not relevant to me. she could have done much worse and i still think he would have been in the wrong
What absolves her of all guilt, then?
Nah, man. I wouldn't go that far. I'm all about giving credit where it's due. All the cats in OF have at least a mediocum of talent in them.

doesn't mean anything to me. there are so many more talented people out there that these kids are not worth anyone's time, having that level of exposure
Let's not bring buzzwords into this. Nobody needs that.
Rape and murder are not buzzwords. A buzzword would be victim blaming. Which I'm seeing a lot of. I'll concede that her saying he should be kicked out of the country is not unwarranting of a negative response. But I'm seeing a lot of people just saying because she took the risk. It is her fault.
