stricter control on manufacturing regulations or stricter control of the populace. i'm not against making sure that guns that are being manufactured don't go missing and shit. i'm against trying to control a populace by further restricting their natural rights.
both sorry this is where our philosophies differ since I support social contracts and compromises.
natural right amazing
what is it not a person's natural right to personal possessions?
It just proves that they're not as strict as you said. Like they only sent warning letters to dealers who lost hundreds of firearms.
The laws are strict, their enforcement isn't as much as it should be, but it's still stricter than the auto industry.
um 9/11 killed less people than guns that year but now we have an agency dedicated to going through 14 year old girl's panties at the airport to make sure she isn't hiding anything. guns aren't particularly scary to most americans except in the case of school shootings.
and in those cases, america is shit scared of them that's why you now have teachers being taught how to use firearms, that's why you have teachers carrying firearms in schools because america is scared
The information to make and manufacture bombs is readily available across the web[sames goes for guns and ammo]. One such example is the US Army Improvised Munitions Handbook, which can be literally found as a PDF on every website runned by a militia group. On the thing I linked by the way... Multiple sections exist in the regards to using batteries to create explosive material as well as creating explosive material from scratch. The rest of bomb making is just putting the explosive material into a tightly contained chamber, having an electric fuse which is wired to spark an electric charge on something like a sparkplug at a distance, and having the rest of the container you put the fuse in to carry shrapnel such as nuts and bolts and nails. The only tough part is getting enough explosive material, and even than, you could just pop the heads off of bullets and get the blackpowder inside of them. I mean shit... Two .22lr round and you already have 80 to 90 grains of blackpowder, which is more than enough for something like a hand grenade.
If its so easy why doesn't it happen more.
both sorry this is where our philosophies differ since I support social contracts and compromises.
We have compromised far to much as it is... I want my damn Gun Rights cake back!
If its so easy why doesn't it happen more.
this point exactly if making effective explosives is so easy, why aren't you seeing them every 2 weeks instead of firearm murders.
this point exactly if making effective explosives is so easy, why aren't you seeing them every 2 weeks instead of firearm murders.
because getting a gun is easier(even though it shouldn't be), but less effective
what is it not a person's natural right to personal possessions?
Do you extend this to everything? Like anthrax and child porn? [editline]8th November 2013[/editline]
because getting a gun is easier(even though it shouldn't be), but less effective
People don't use bombs to murder people at 2am for knocking on their door.
Do you extend this to everything? Like anthrax and child porn?
this is worse than the guns and cars comparison you're better than this [editline]7th November 2013[/editline]
Do you extend this to everything? Like anthrax and child porn? [editline]8th November 2013[/editline] People don't use bombs to murder people at 2am for knocking on their door.
wow it's almost like racism and/or mental illness is the main problem in that situation and not the gun existing
this is worse than the guns and cars comparison you're better than this
No it isn't. He said possessions are a natural right. I'm listing possessions, it doesn't have the abstraction of the guns = cars.
If its so easy why doesn't it happen more.
The amount of firearms on the open market in the United States, removes the requirement to go for excessive means within the criminal underworld. Even if something like explosives would act as a Shock and Awe aspect, the usage of them is useless when you are able to just simply take a semi-automatic rifle and kill or maim the target you intend to do harm upon and not do collateral. That's the entire thing which I'd hate to say that I like about semi-automatics. They maim and kill one person as intended. Not causing collateral like an automatic or explosive would cause.
wow it's almost like racism and/or mental illness is the main problem in that situation and not the gun existing
People don't use bombs to murder people at 2am for knocking on their door. Yet you say guns are less effective for this.
If its so easy why doesn't it happen more.
it happens all the fucking time i have no idea why it isn't reported on. like just the other week someone threw a bomb into a parked car down the street from me. the explosion was loud enough to activate every car alarm on the block. every cop and sheriff in the city must have been on the block that day. my city news didn't even publish a story on it.
No it isn't. He said possessions are a natural right. I'm listing possessions, it doesn't have the abstraction of the guns = cars.
you're implicitly comparing antiques and hobby paraphernalia to deadly poisons and childhood sexual trauma
what is it not a person's natural right to personal possessions?
since when was property a natural right lmao
you're implicitly comparing antiques and hobby paraphernalia to deadly poisons and childhood sexual trauma
No I'm not. yawmwen is the one getting all philosophical about the right to own what you want.
Do you extend this to everything? Like anthrax and child porn?
child porn is made directly through the subversion of the natural rights of others so idk that you can really justify it.
Why isn't europe rocked by homemade bombs.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_Great_Britain
child porn is made directly through the subversion of the natural rights of others so idk that you can really justify it.
so is firearm murder
http://how2dostuff.blogspot.com/2006/01/how-to-make-thermite.html http://www.ask.com/question/how-do-you-make-a-fertilizer-bomb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_cooker_bomb http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l204/misfit454/howtomakecrystals.jpg
oh god I clicked one fucking thanks guy now the NSA is going to watch me way to go
since when was property a natural right lmao
property isn't, personal possession is.
since when was property a natural right lmao
did you not learn about John Locke in school
child porn is made directly through the subversion of the natural rights of others so idk that you can really justify it.
i think killing a person (this is what guns are designed to do) should probably factor into your weird ideas about 'natural rights'
property isn't, personal possession is.

did you not learn about John Locke in school
which one of you is right plus john locke is just a single philosopher. Not the moral compass of the world.
so is firearm murder
ok but the vast majority of firearms are never used in a crime
did you not learn about John Locke in school
you know philosophers can be disagreed with in fact most of philosophy is dudes disagreeing with each other
so is firearm murder
firearms aren't produced through the violation of the natural rights of people(except in the same way production of any consumer good in a capitalist society does). owning a firearm does not violate the natural rights of other people or perpetuate a violation of the natural rights of anyone. child porn and guns are incomparable even in an abstract philosophical discussion about possession because the nature of the manufacture, propagation, and use of the two items are fundamentally different.
