Don't get my wrong, I VALUE life, but the fact that people die is something that is inevitable. It will happen, and always will happen. Because I can recall at least 10 shootings in 5 years within 5 blocks of me, and if someone threatens my life with a gun, because no matter what laws we have a criminal will get a gun if they want one, just about every police chief in the country admits at least 70% of guns are smuggled into the country, I want to be able to respond with equal force to defend myself. Hell, I'd rather like just being able to defend myself without having to worry about being arrested for it, with a gun or not, because right now I'd be arrested for defending myself no matter what I used.
