I would never propose to ban all edged weapons in the U.K. just because knife crimes have increased in the U.K. I've never been to the U.K. and have no idea what the social and criminal climates of the U.K. are like. Not to mention banning all knives would never decrease crime, just like banning guns will never decrease crime. Only counting robberies, assault and murder, the US has a higher rate of violent crime using knives than the UK has for every violent crime involving knives. The US also has a higher homicide rate involving knives than the UK.
