I wasn't really arguing but sorry
love you too
what's the difference between porn and videogames excuse me? i'm pretty sure "seduce me" does have gameplay as evident by the gameplay video
Yeah. I'm not a big dating sim guy, but you can't say dating sims aren't games.
I know, I literally just saw that in their post when I made that.
What i was saying was, if it WAS just porn, then why should they? Then i added for better detail.

It's not just porn, it's a porn game
steam sells games
Greenlight is for rating games, and there's nothing offensive about this submission.
get it ? You're supposed to choose what you want, instead of outright removing something a guy paid $100 to get there.
Because kids.
Aren't kids over the age of 13 going to look at porn anyways.

this
http://www.newgrounds.com/collection/adultgames
is different from this
http://store.steampowered.com/
yes because has "game" in it, it is automatically qualified as a real game!
you don't play seduce me because you're bored
you play seduce when you're bored and have too much free time
and that game is offensive, because it's just a sexist porn game, and literally nothing else, the only object of the "Game" is to use your free hand to jerk off pixel girls that are totally predrawn and not even slightly animated. Besides! You don't even get any guys!
seriously if that's a game to you that's just really sad. if you want porn games, go to a porn site, really it's that simple. the only people that will want that will want it for it's porn theme.
Aren't kids over the age of 13 going to look at porn anyways.
They are, but Valve doesn't want to be responsible for it. There are laws regarding minors and pornography, and it's not worth all the trouble they'd need to go through to get away with it.

‎"Steam has never been a leading destination for erotic material, Greenlight doesn't aim to change that." -Doug Lombardi
Not to mention this took place before the $100 fee was implemented.
There is a difference between nudity in a video game, and a porn game.
But why? Just think of the tf2 promos that could've came with this :v:
DAMNIT SNIP
How many of you have played Garry's mod? All of us? Then we should know that there are many 6, 7, and 8 year olds on steam. You have to technically be older to sign up but everyone knows that's not enforced.

Now just imagine if porn came to steam...

That's vague as fuck since a good portion of the games on steam have some sort of erotic content, and again, a porn game is still a game.
If they don't want to accept it, fine, they have that choice, but there was no violation of anything here, the reason for the removal was stupid.

There's a difference between a game with some erotic content and something that's meant to be porn first and also happens to be a game. A simple example: Mass Effect's sex scenes. They're obviously not meant for players to jerk off at them, but they're still vaguely erotic content.
Imagine the lashback and the controversy if Valve had this for sale.

Um, no, they'd likely shit up SPUF with- oh wait its already that level of maturity.

Er, no, it has gameplay, it's a game.
Like i said, valve has the choice of declining whatever the fuck they want, there's no point in removing anything with a silly excuse before even letting the community voice their opinions.

your not very smart are you
if you can't see why then I really feel bad for you
also, what gameplay? barely any button clicking to activate preset shitty chatlines?
theres a huge difference between games like Playboy sims/Seduce me and games that just happen to have sex scenes

Oh my god it's a shitty game, in your opinion.
Jesus christ, how offensive! it's not like steam has any other awfully shitty games that wouldn't even qualify for an actual product. *coff*.
The point of Greenlight is to listen to what the community wants and give some extra exposure for small developers, if it's a bad game, even with 100% votes, they can refuse it, how hard is it to understand that ? There was no infringement here, there was no point in removing it.

Oh look, you just said they are both games, which means they're both valid greenlight submissions.
Imagine the lashback and the controversy if Valve had this for sale.
Imagine that abosutely noting that would happen because there's millions of these games for free on Newgrounds and nobody would buy it.
Funny how people here claim that "Since there are games with gore in them, porn should be ok too".
It's a completely different form of entertainment. Maturity has nothing to do with it.
The gore games you play to have fun, dick around, play with your friends.
The porn games you play to wank off, having a good time and nothing else.
Steam sells games, not porn. If you want porn there are other places to get it.
but i want to diddle virtual titties
why can't i do that through an online store that also sells children's games like ItzaZoo, or Dr. Daisy Pet Vet?
i am sooooo butthurt right now
This is the same reason that most video rental stores don't have a porn section. It's not exactly hard to understand why they don't want it on steam.

Will you cut it with the weak argument. It's Valve's call what the point of greenlight is, and what is acceptable content to even be there to begin with, not yours. Hell, it even says porn games are not allowed!
Before posting your gameBefore you post your game to Steam Greenlight, you must agree to the following:
You own the rights to sell the game you are posting, or you have specific authorization to represent the developer
You agree to the terms and conditions of the Steam Subscriber Agreement
Additionally, you agree not to post any item to Greenlight that contains the following:
Someone else's game, unless you have specific authorization to do so
Porn, inappropriate or offensive content, warez, or leaked content
Cheating, hacking, or game exploits
Threats of violence or harassment, even as a joke
Games using copyrighted material such as assets or intellectual property without permission from the owner
Soliciting, begging, auctioning, selling, advertising, referrals, racism, or discrimingation
Abuse of Steam Greenlight will forfeit your Submission fee and result in a ban from Steam Community Services

You know "offensive material" is prohibited right in the rules, right?
http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/about/?appid=765§ion=faq
I already get pissed having to enter my birthday at store pages for games.
I do not want to have to enter my birthday to access the entire store.
I support Valve's decision.

They directly state that porn isn't allowed in the submission form, too.
Are there any restrictions on what can be posted?
Your game must not contain offensive material or violate copyright or intellectual property rights.
REALLY descriptive. That could be just about any game on Steam. Hey, I take offense to violent games. There goes 90% of Steam's games!
I don't really care if porn games are on Steam or not because I have no interest in them. But if others think they should be on Steam then why not? Just set up some sort of system where you can't even view the store page for them until you verify your age in some way.

Just because it's a game doesn't INSTANTLY justify it was valid GL material.
I never said it was a shitty game either, but, it's a shitty game. You're not going to see mass votes for some shitty flash game. also, I've already been calling it a game so "Oh look, you just said they are both games, which means they're both valid greenlight submissions" just shows how selective your hearing is.
as for Revelations 2012... that doesn't have a porn theme.
and hey dude umm sorry that you can't get your porn on steam but just download it off a porn sight and use "Add non-steam game to library" feature.

but it's a game therefore it's accepted! :downs:

it'll be either "enter your date" which everyone gets around or a drivers liscense validation
both are easy to get around

I'm pretty sure that's what they said Greenlight is for, and removing this, even though they could simply refuse it, goes against it.
If valve removed Postal 2 because it's "offensive", the most vague fucking thing in the world, you people would be pissed, even though it'd be equally silly.
Oh, the rules, "Porn" can be an image on the screenshot previews, but where did you find those ?
Or you could just play Meet N' Fuck.
