Ivanka has close ties to influential Democrats and she has supported causes traditionally more dear to the left than to conservatives. This includes pushing her father to support an expansive child care policy.

Since you quoted this part in particular I'd just like to point out that her "expansive" child care policy wouldn't have really helped the Americans who needed it most, and was (like Trump's healthcare plan) primarily beneficial for the people who already make enough income to see large tax returns.
Yeah sure compared to Trump it was further to the left but lets not paint it like a beautiful act of compassion that we can later credit to Trump himself.
So I guess the Trump kids can only get involved in their dads politics if it suits the left.
Trump and his family can do whatever they want, doesn't mean we can't hold them accountable.

I know I feel the same but in the past month any time one of his family have done anything slightly related to Donald they have been outraged.
Stop. I'm not talking about his work with the web. Do not even start that.
Yes he was a big proponent of fighting against climate change and thats great and it needs to happen, but he outright lied about his data's validity and in many cases he was found to just be factually incorrect. The graphs he provided showing temperature were not accurate, they did not come from where he said they did, and all his campaigning did was entrench climate change deniers in their opinion as soon as he was found to have presented falsified data.
At the very least his understanding of the topic was conveyed so terribly that he alone arguably did more damage to climate change science than those who campaign against it.
can you source
I feel like Trump NEEDS Ivanka. And not in the haha so funny incest memes. Like he can't function as a normal person.
shit I'd actually rather have her helping him.
Probably because he's doing a very strict set of actions and behaviors as routine for over forty years, and now he's expected to become the literal 'best generalist in the world' at 70.
We can see from Carter, Reagan's second term and the Bushes how well that works.
What's wrong with Gore? :s:
A great deal.
1. His wife is a batshit fundamentalist, and while that in itself shouldn't matter, he actively just accepts her missives and pitched in on her pet projects, including an attempt to basically get Free Speech amended to gamergate levels of broken, and compulsory religious education in schools.
2. He is super bad at research as a categorical thing. His stance on Global Warming did more harm than good because he thought overselling would somehow do the trick, and we saw from horseshoe liberals this very election how well that method works, ever.
3. His stance on poverty is pretty much "whatever the Democrats feel like doing right now", which has eased poverty's active conditions but done exactly nothing to eliminate poverty or set a universal standard of logistical care, again that would just be politics, except for the fact he's made a chunk of grandiose motions about 'real change' while attending super rich super pac dinner events and generally sitting on his ass.
4. He just ignored China actively grinding on their people over economic deals with US corporations. For a guy who actively maintains a 'care about everyone' image, that is some ol bullshit.
does trump have to go with the cabinet he currently has nominated or could he pull a 180 before inauguration day
I expect someone to be fired before inauguration.

What about the Clintons?

I think that was under a desk not behind him.

Well technically no one has their job yet. All cabinet members have to be approved by Congress. Trump is merely nominating his cabinet, not giving out jobs. But as far as I know, it's rare for Congress to turn down any nominee for a newly elected president - and Congress is GOP held so Trump will get whomever he points to.
