we are discovering too many things way to fast :ohdear:
Too fast isn't fast enough.
Yes, yes, extra dimensions are a very nice idea and I'm sure your movie script uses it so well. Now let's just let this come up with nothing and get over it. It was cool when we were kids but let's get to real science, please.
Yesterday I responded to a post by saying it was the dumbest thing I had ever read Now that record has been broken
Maybe god's hiding in a different dimension.
i didnt even know we had a second dimenson
Yesterday I responded to a post by saying it was the dumbest thing I had ever read Now that record has been broken
I think THIS beats that one!
i didnt even know we had a second dimenson
The universe consists of length. That is all.
Paramud = this threads General_Xing.
This is going to turn out like The Mist. I just know it.
Fuck don't say that, it's been really foggy outside for the past few days.
CERN scientists say they have already taken research with ions further than those with gold at the long-established Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at the U.S. Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island.
Weren't those the ones boasting that they were going to discover the Higgs Boson before CERN?
I guess this doesn't produce more power then used eh?
it's not designed to [editline]16th November 2010[/editline]
Yes, yes, extra dimensions are a very nice idea and I'm sure your movie script uses it so well.
we are discovering too many things way to fast :ohdear:
Impossible, if you cant handle it kill yourself or live in a fucking cave. Sorry I realise that wasn't nice, but you people are the fucking bane of humanity.
Impossible, if you cant handle it kill yourself or live in a fucking cave. Sorry I realise that wasn't nice, but you people are the fucking bane of humanity.
Didn't they say that when about the people who invented the a-bomb?
what if it answers the question "what is life" oh dear lord I don't wanna know that I like things the way they are :ohdear:
what time period do you come from , come on , everybody knows that the meaning of life is 42.
Who knows? not important, but I don't care, all that matters is those that use nuclear weaponry are counter productive and are slaying their own species in the millions with in-discriminant fire, and so should be killed. And dude if you can't handle science advancing, and it scares you then you're a coward, science is science, it's in-discriminant, neither good nor evil, only when it's applied does it become either, that's when you worry.
Impossible, if you cant handle it kill yourself or live in a fucking cave. Sorry I realise that wasn't nice, but you people are the fucking bane of humanity.
We need to be able to handle the discoveries though, if we can't handle them it's better to not discover (I'm not talking about this event in particular, just in general).
Discover it now, make a use for it later. It's better to know what's going on than just wonder and wonder and wonder, it's something that could dramatically help us. Now stop being a pussy and let the scientists work.
Well yeah there technically is. What would have happened if nuclear technology had been discovered during the crusades?
No, there fucking isn't. It's people like you and perzon holding BACK progress by believing in shitty things like this. The nuclear bomb WASN'T invented during the crusade. There is no; 'what if' or 'but then's, it is just now, and what would happen in the future. Do you think you would've questioned the existence of a nuclear warhead during the crusades if it actually happend? No.
Having nukes during the crusades would certainly make my job in Medieval 2 Total War easier
Goodbye religion, you fucking douche.
Goodbye religion, you fucking douche.
Implying religion is the problem and not the minority of retards who follow it. Also it's ironic you haven't realised that you're as bad as they are.
Implying religion is the problem and not the minority of retards who follow it. Also it's ironic you haven't realised that you're as bad as they are.
Organised religion is a problem itself. It is holding back science.
And science couldn't give a fuck, so it continues as normal. I fail to see the problem, I mean fair enough if it was still a dark ages type period but it's not, all fields of science are expanding at lightning speed and entire new fields of science are exploding into existence with vigour never before seen. Now quiet, and stop bitching like a baby who's dropped its dummy.
Organised religion is a problem itself. It is holding back science.
Yeah. I believe that people should be able to believe whatever they want to believe as long as it doesn't block science or hurt the environment, but some people's staunch opposition to things like stem cell research HAS held science back, which is abysmal - and don't get me started on the people who deny climate change and then make political decisions based on what they want to believe.
No one disbelieves in climate change any more, just whether or not it's man made or not.
No one disbelieves in climate change any more, just whether or not it's man made or not.
Exactly, so they're fine with releasing all regulations and shit and allowing people to pump out as much carbon dioxide as they want. Which is horse shit.
CO2 is only one factor, yeah we produce a lot, but either way we're going into another ice age anyway, whether we instantly become carbon neutral or not. The planet runs in cycles, and global warming and dimming together form one of them. All we are doing is speeding it all up a little bit.
I've never understood what any of this has to do with my everyday life or why anything related to the LHC is even considered noteworthy or newsworthy.
I've never understood what any of this has to do with my everyday life or why anything related to the LHC is even considered noteworthy or newsworthy.
Because it has a trickle effect. "I can't see how this electricity lark will do anything useful at all, and frankly I don't see why anything related to it is news worthy." Sound familiar?
Religion and Politics, two things that need to go away... FOR EVER.
Religion and Politics, two things that need to go away... FOR EVER.
Stop trying to start a flame war, it's just immature. EDIT: Oh, I see that I accidentally skipped a page and that is now the topic, but still, we should stop talking about it.
