CERN: LHC could prove the existence of extra dimensions as early as next year
The CMB is pretty much the skeleton of the Big Bang. Again, maybe you should read about what evidence there actually is before saying there's not enough.
Enough to say beyond a reasonable doubt.

My point still stands.
There's always a reasonable doubt. Everything we know about science can be disproved by a breakthrough tommorrow.
Nothing can be proved, nothing can be disproved.
well electricity is practical and will prolong my life in some cases
Proving the existence of other dimensions isnt practical, it's just an interesting fact that we spent x billion dollars on. I think there are a lot more practical things we could be doing with our money and our technology right now

would knowing the "secrets of the universe" make me an ounce happier? I doubt it. it's pretty much useless information
The money spent on gaining knowledge is totally irrelevant. Knowledge is more or less timeless and helps. Who doesn't get it shouldn't be allowed to use modern technology.
I do realize that I dont give 2 shits about electromagnetic induction.
If you don't give 2 shits about it, please remove your bycicle's dynamo, your harddisk, your car's alternator, your analogue clocks, your speakers and headphones, your .... Because they use it. I think you now give "2 shits" about it that someone else once "gave a shit" about it so you can now use it. Same applies on the LHC.
I have no idea what electromagnetic induction is, therefore, I could care less. While stephen hawkings is running around spending a fuckton of money on shit like this, there are more important social and political issues that we could actually address.
Knowledge is worth any money. $18 billion for the LHC is nothing compared to a western countries economy. Please modify your statement and replace any science based word by e.g. the Iraq War or similar shit. Then you were right.
Im sorry that Im not a physics major, I have better things to do
Then please be so kind and understand our points instead of just saying "bah, I don't give a fuck about it so it has to be useless". If you don't understand it (which you just have corroborated), don't judge it or gain the (basic) knowledge until you can judge.
Actually I'm pretty sure that God is an unfalsifiable concept which means you can't disprove or prove his existence.
Yeah, it is more or less. That's why there is such a controversy about it. I'm Christian but with my physics background, it is hard for me to believe in higher being (which may exists or not - who knows). Still I respect those who believe in god and all I want is that some fundamentalists (or trolls) stop saying "bah, science is bullshit - believe in god" - Because we (scientists) don't do this.

compared to jiyoon anyway
I think I'm gay for aVoN
Whenever aVon posts it makes me happy, not only because he always has something awesome to say but also because of
aVoN is just pure win. There's really nothing that can be done about that.
this thread is now about singing aVoN's praises I guess
I'd suck aVoN's huge cock.
