It would be funny if it gets another season, or movie. How about th Simpson's MMORPG? Tut would keep th Simpson's runningx, make it like the Sims...
Oh man I feel sad now, 'cause I know the show's probably going to go off on a rather touching note. And I'll probably feel really, really sad when I see the credits roll.
Damn it, there's literally two things on the planet that can make me feel sad: a dying loved one, and something good ending. This is both of them.
I hope they make another movie, the movie was fantastic.
I was kind of disappointed by the movie. It was entertaining, but I expected more depth to it. Instead of a "movie" it was more of a long, drawn out regular episode.
I really want to enjoy Futurama with you guys but I honestly never see it on.
I just want them to make a last season and go out, while it's been a great ride, the show must end. Perhaps the whole season could be focused on all the good memories we have from all The Simpsons' episodes and it goes out with a new member in the family and perhaps a little tragedy (grandpa dies).
Whatever happens, The Simpsons will be a long-standing icon in popular culture.
Does anyone else find it really shitty that shows get cancelled because the goddamn actors, voice or otherwise, demand a half million fucking dollars an episode?
As terrible as a Napolean Dynamite show sounds, it still seems infinitely better than a 4th Seth Mcfarlane tragedy.
We need a last episode with absolutely all of the show's characters, dead ones as well.
I'm going to cry on the final episode, I'm calling it.
They're probably going to show the kids growing up with sappy music in the background; maybe a photo montage up until it shows Bart going to college or Lisa becoming successful at something.
It's going to be incredibly sad.
Fuck no, not another "growing up" episode, they did it twice or maybe thrice already.
A perfect ending would be one where the simpsons leave Springfield for good and just go and live somewhere else, and the show would simply end on that.

But if they really want to end the series on a remarkable note, they should give it a really dark turn, with homer really losing his job while Marge gets pregnant again, grampa dies, their house burn, Flanders leaves the town, everyone abandons them, so they just go away.
Personally I really love series that end on a dark turn, it gives something really emotional and really worth watching.
The whole series is gonna turn out to be a dream of Maggie's.
heh thought this looked funny from the home page :v:

i think the best ending will be when moe finally gets to fuck the shit out of marge and then homer kills his wfie and his children before turning the gun on himself

I used to be into The Simpsons a lot. The newer episodes have seemed off, though. The show's had a hell of a run. It's too bad that it has to end during it's noticeable downfall.

Being 12 and having to deal with all those hormones, it's rough isn't it?
Obvious troll, report and move on
So if they decide to cancel, will the finale be at the end of this recently started season, or at the end of
a next year's season?
It depends whether the actors will accept the $250,000 deal or not. If the actors say no to the deal, then the show may as well end this year rather than next year...either way, it's never coming back.
The actors have until tomorrow to decide the deal with FOX. (Time-wise when they make their decision hasn't been determined or at least, I don't know anything about it.)
everyone stop fucking creating drama
Y'know what'd be a really surprising turn?
If they used that theory that every single TV show epidsode was the day-dream of that autistic kid from that show I can't remember. The one who looks into the snow-globe?
Yeah, they should go with that. And then the kid's looking into the camera, and everyone in the audience is like "What the fuck did I just watch".
I've said this before and I'll say it again.
I think the best ending they could do for the series is to end it where it began;
What if it was a normal episode, and ended like many episodes with Homer losing his job and being financially unstable, with the whole problem unresolved. But the episode ends with the exact same situation as "Good Night" back in 1987; Homer and Marge tuck the kids in at night, and they all just get a good night's rest. The last five minutes of the show revolve around the Simpsons; not Springfield, not parodies. The Simpsons.
I assure you that I will cry for hours when it's over.
About time

Good fucking times, Simpsons. Thank you.
This show is older than me. Much of my life was somehow shaped by the Simpsons (it was the only good show on at the time, we didn't have cable), and although I can see that it needs to die I am still saddened by this fact.
I for one am glad this trash is finally being put to an end. I loved the Simpsons as a kid and as an adult I find seasons 1-11 to be brilliant. For the last 5 or so years the show has just dipped down into an insulting cash cow that needed to be put down. Every episode has been "All of the tired side characters talk. The End!".
It was a great show, but it has to end. Whatever replaces it will most likely fail anyway. At least Futurama is still strong and Beavis and Butthead will return to fill the void.
I've watched this show every night as a kid up until around six years ago, it kind of feels weird knowing something that has always been with you will be gone. Sure the show has really gone down the drain, but something inside me doesn't want me to see it go. Maybe I'll marathon the entire series before the ending.

488 episodes? fuck that.
so did you cry horribly back in 2003
I did.
Damn, I remeber when i was a kid, i learned how to program the VCR, just so i could watch Simpsons, as it came on after my bedtime.
Also, the Halloween specials were always the best.

It's like that one time we repeat the same joke over and over again, then we fuck ourselves to death. Say hello to South Park, omg they killed kenny you bastards. Got old, at least they actually decided to remove Kenny for awhile.
Basically the show is called "Guest Stars". Just so they can boost ratings.
I only think that nothing is ever change for the simpsons, and they just go about what they always do. Most endings arupt with stupid plotlines. Like Burn's son and the others turn into a party romp at
the end, and how nothing made sense. Most episode endings do that, It just confuses the fuck out of me on wherever it was funny or just more stupid. lol.
The Simpsons will end in a flash forward of them much older, and a large clipshow of their lives. Maggie has to speak more in the finale of course, they have to promise us that.
But overall, I just don't think I'll care. It had a good run, time to put away the key. Futurama has to be renewed for more seasons.
