i always think of this song when thinking of the simpsons

It was like an old family pet that was the best, funniest, most enjoyable pet you've ever had.
Then it got old and starting shitting and pissing on the floor and furniture, it was it's time to be put down.
You had a good run, Simpsons.
They'll just end up shoving every single episode on Comedy Central just like every single fucking episode of Friends... Sigh...
This should have happened like 10 years ago.
I thought it was pronounced 'cares', not 'kaaes'
can you not hear the r?
also stop
So If I read this correctly, if the Actors don't agree to the Salary cut, they'll end at this season, but if they do agree they'll do one last season after the current one?
He sucks at pronouncing 'cares'
That's a Rhode Island accent for you.
That show has been running on for too long. I don't watch it very much anymore but I decided to watch a new episode recently just to see how things changed, and it turned out to be an animated drama. No jokes. Nothing was funny. It sucked. Thats what happens when you let a show run for 20 years, the writers run out of every possible idea and the show becomes stale and boring. It has been going on for such a long time that it would be a shame and very disrespectful was "cancelled", so that is why it should just "end" very very soon. Just one more season, and that should be it. Just one more season and get it over with, FOX needs room for newer shows with fresh new writers. But unfortunately the same thing is starting to happen with Family Guy and South Park. But that is just how things work. Only so many people can come up with so many ideas in their lifetime.
TL;DR: The show is running out of ideas and it should end.
In the final episode (even though it was clearly but not directly admitted in recent episodes) Mr Smithers should tell Mr Burns his true honest feelings for him.
They should make the last episode really sad and have homer die of liver failure or something dramatic of the like. Great sad way to end the series.
Opening credits end with Marge running Homer down after Bart clips his hip and knocks him to the ground.
End credits roll at his funeral.
They should make an actual version of "Dead Bart" as their last episode.
Damn, I remeber when i was a kid, i learned how to program the VCR, just so i could watch Simpsons, as it came on after my bedtime.
Also, the Halloween specials were always the best.

This really reminds me how the original halloween specials actually used to be scary.
I can't say the same for a majority of the very recent ones. As they can be pretty much:
* Not scary
* Just a Simpsons episode with people dying
* A spoof of a popular film (Doesn't even have to be related to halloween)
Damnit, cancel it if you will, but at least allow them a proper final episode.
Yeah I want to see them ignore character traits and keep jokes going on too long one last time.
Why.
Wont.
It.
DIE.
I don't think I've ever watched an entire episode.
This thread is still going? Wow the irony.
Since this was first posted, I happened to watch a couple episodes on TV, and I have to say, I really enjoyed them. Maybe it's just that it's more my type of humor, or maybe it was just a refreshing change of pace from all the drawn-out-till-its-awkwardly-funny non sequiturs of Family Guy, but either way I was pleasantly surprised.
The Simpson's was a family show for me.
Oh well it's dead to me anyway.
just cancel it for fucks sake
The Simpsons was funny...
...but then I turned 13. :v:
440,000 PER EPISODE?! I would have thought that 100,000 per year would have been plenty for a job as small as voice acting.
Still better than Family Guy and Space-shit Futurama
Still better than Family Guy
Yes.
and Space-shit Futurama
No.
Now that it's over I'll watch it in it's entirety.
All the oldest episodes were rarely or never shown, so I never got to see them. And they're usually the funniest.
