That sucks, my sister watches the storm chasers show every day.
Don't really watch storm chasers but, that is sadly the main concern with a job like that. You screw up, you screw up. Same with snakes and alligator hunting. One tiny bad move, and the end.
Maybe some other time, after all this has passed. Right now a search effort is underway for Paul Samaras's video camera. It was lost amongst the debris and the video will hopefully shed some light on this tragedy. If any OK fpers want to volunteer in this effort PM me and I'll get you the details. Thank you all for the kind words.
Mad respect for you MJ and the rest of the chasing community. The research that you and countless others do, risking your own lives to not only learn and understand the sheer power that nature represents, but also to maybe even save countless lives in the future. I myself believe Tim wouldn't want people to be upset about his passing (never really knew him, but had much respect for him and what he did.) He would want the chasing community to keep up the research, and use that research to save lives in the future. Never stop chasing guys. Also, I agree with Killuah, please make a thread about your work sometime. I'd love to read about it.
