Green and Bloc should just give up, Bloc has past it's prime and Green is just unfortunately not strong enough in areas other than enviromental causes. I would've settled for NDP or Liberal but to see the NDP's strong rise from last election is a good sign for the future.
Green is an up and coming party that is leading a massive seat gain. Lets do the math here shall we?
Leading Seats/Current Seats = 1/0 = UNDEFINED
Hm. Lets try limits.
Limit of Leading Seats/Current Seats as current seats approaches 0 = Infinity.
According to my precalculus, they just had an infinite increase in seats. Yay.
Let me use another post to answer yours.
Sure it was. I have no idea: Are you even Canadian?
Haha Aman I figure Conservatives are definitely nerds, the rich nerds of Canada.
I love Ignatieffs attempt to play off being the lest successful liberal leader ever as a positive thing.
I voted CPC with a smile.
You cranky nerds?
You are not an internet tough guy. nerde.
Haha Aman I figure Conservatives are definitely nerds, the rich nerds of Canada.
I think I remember Aman being a homophobic ass in a thread before, probably why he votes cpc
Sure it was. I have no idea: Are you even Canadian?
Yes, I just don't shove my own political beliefs in other peoples faces and cry when a vote doesn't go in my favor.
Also Ad Hominem.
God fucking damnit. Harper need to GTFO.
There HAS to be a loophole in some law or something that if he fucks up SOMEHOW, hes booted, Again. Pre-wait for 2015 election.
:(
Fuck sakes.

'nerds' implies intelligence. The movers and shakers are intelligent - in the way that pack hunters and scavengers are. The masses are convenient thralls.
I'm surprised Opitz is leading Etobicoke Centre, he's the one who caused the "Ethnic Costumes" fiasco.
It also looks like Iggy is going to lose his own riding. Unfortunately, the best candidate for Liberal leadership after him, Kennedy, lost his as well.

No not at all actually, don't put words in my mouth silly.
I got nothing wrong with gays.

Okay, this stops here.
You cannot ask that question in any regard whatsoever. Everyone has their own personal opinion, on every matter that exists in our lives. Whether or not you agree with their values does not give you any right to question their loyalty or even belonging in the country or society that they belong in. How dare you insult someone to that degree simply because you are having an argument of opinion. By throwing jabs like that, you are as bad as the so-called "Harper Nazis" you hate so much.
Shame on you.

These election results have confirmed my greatest fears for Canada's government. I WANT to be a dramatic bitch for an evening, at least.
I love Ignatieffs attempt to play off being the lest successful liberal leader ever as a positive thing.
Is he even more of a disaster than Dion? That's pretty funny if true.
And this thread is a lot more butthurt than I've seen in a long time.
Didn't the guy who's speaking right now go to the United States for about 5 years or something like that?
These election results have confirmed my greatest fears for Canada's government. I WANT to be a dramatic bitch for an evening, at least.
Whoop de doo.
Key phrase being "your greatest fear"
People have voted. Perhaps a larger number of people had the fear of the NDP being elected.
Hahaha this is what a friend of mine said of Facebook about the election: "Fuck Conservative majority. Good work though New Democrats, you did good little guy. Democratic voting should be like smoking weed, pass it to the left"
Ignatieff is nice, but ultimately he is not cut out to be a political leader. He lacks some of the core aspects of leading a country. However, nobody's perfect, but overall I don't think he would have been good for the job of PM.

You assume too much. I wanted to know how familiar he was with the issues that were central to this election - and how much he understood the platforms of each party. In my mind, a Canadian would be more likely to know these issues than an American, and so I asked to clear my doubts.

Well why do you think the CPC would do the best job
You have to admit their track record really is no better than the alternatives
Didn't the guy who's speaking right now go to the United States for about 5 years or something like that?
He was out of the country for some 30 years, then he came back and wanted to lead us.
Didn't the guy who's speaking right now go to the United States for about 5 years or something like that?
To go to Harvard. I don't see why they give him such a hard time about that.
so conservatives won and harper is still pm?
All these ridings where the Conservatives won in Toronto should be either NDP or Liberal if we had an alternative voting system instead of FPTP. Then we wouldn't be in this conservative majority mess.
This. The battle was lost in Southern Ontario. Couldn't count on Ontarians to vote for the NDP after Rae and the Liberals just imploded. Amazing swing for the Conservatives there.

That's not how I, and probably the majority of the thread viewers saw your posts, at all.

Intellectualism is a political liability in this age of conservatives I guess
Hey, I've got nothing personally against Harper. I take issue with the direction in which I fear he will try to steer Canada. We've got a great international reputation, and I won't see that dragged through the mud. Canada right now is still a pretty good place to live. It's a country I'm still proud of.
I'm terrified that will change, and hoping it won't. Because majority governments here have far too much power.
