It's called propoganda warfare dude, the unfortunate reality is that during a war almost all information is kept secret because bad shit happens, friendly fire incidents, civilians killed by a few bad apples in the forces. And at the end of the day when the army is doing their job they would very much like to keep the public on their side so they don't end up fighting a war with the enemy and a war with the public. Besides it's the government who keep the information hidden, the army probably couldn't give a toss.
I also like how you completely dodged my point and just went straight to "U H8 TEH TR00PS U DOUCHE", as if that could be my only possible motivation.
That's not even what I meant, I dodged your point because its the same point I've had to go against all the time. IT doesn't hold up in the long run. And the way you act dictates what others think, so yes, in my opinion from what I've read from you, yes you do hate our troops. I've also seen your other posts and have seen how arrogant you can become when you think you're right. You do not fix your mistakes, you instead insult. [editline]02:50PM[/editline]
Perhaps we might have been able to hold out for Japan's surrender instead of nuking them. Perhaps pro nazi sentiment might have been drastically reduced due to the leaking of information pertaining to the concentration camps. Oh, the horror.
That is a horrible comparison. Learn to compare correctly.

What, does the military hold authority over the population? The military is a tool for the nation, and it's only a tool for a nation. If it does things we don't want, it should fucking stop, period.
Yeah unfortunately the military is a branch of the government, it does what the government tells it to because in almost all countries the power figure like the president is actually the chief of the armed forces.

We dislike the people associated with that politician and protest his actions or intentions. So why the fuck should the military be any different just because when they do something bad multiple people end up dead?
They let him have access because nearly all people in intelligence require a top secret security clearance. You get the clearance before you go into that position. The FBI and DoD look at everything you have done, they talk to friends, friends friends, neighbors and family. They also check HS record, as well as moral standards. They give you a polygraph, etc etc. Basically anyone you have been in close contact with will be interviewed, and they will talk because they will go on with their spheel about how withholding information will land them in federal prison. They also look at bank statements; if you have transferred $2000 to Saudi Arabia, then that may look suspicious. They have the power to look anywhere with no privacy.

Why the fuck do you think people are court marshalled for this shit man? as soon as they think you actually enjoy the fighting and get pleasure from killing innocents you are immediately sent home and evaluated and either kept from deploying or discharged totally.

I have an idea, let's find some gay serial killers, massively sensationalize them by digging up photos, videos, and testimonies, and get rid of any thoughts of gay rights for the next fifteen years? Technically the people need to know, right? It's called causing a shitstorm for the sake of causing a shitstorm. It's not always the right thing to do.
Of course they do, they don't want to be seen as that group of child murdering rapists all thanks to that one redneck who had a thing against rag head and shot a few of their kids. And besides the documents could hold sensitive information such as plans for the future, troop concentrations, locations that are being watched and the targets in the insurgency who could be taken out soon. The pentagon is doing the right thing here and assuming the worst case scenario, and I agree with what assange is doing, horrors should be brought to light so those responsible for them can be brought to justice but not now in the middle of the war when lives are still in danger.
We need wikileaks to keep our government in check. Although they should be more consistent in screening the leaks so that they don't cause any danger to people.

We already know that none of that shit is in the leaked documents. These are year old reports, not secret airbase facility training plans. That's a load of shit. By the time every troop is gone people will just say "don't release them because they'll cause instability in the region". There will never be a point in time when lives won't be in danger, never. At the very least if people have this information now they can make better decisions about what they want to support.
are you trying to imply that gay serial killers should go free oh god your such a monster how could you
Of course, how could you have understood it any other way?
