Once you get used to the bat, it's fairly easy. It just requires precision - you can still hit it fairly far if you're decent.
The way to play rounders is to hit it like fuck, when you run past a person on the post grab hold of their shirt and rip it whilst you are using them as a grip to turn. If you are throwing the ball, throw it at them.

the best way to play rounders is to swordfight each other with the bats and then get detention
Rounders looks even less exciting than wiffle ball.

My friend brought in a full size baseball bat for rounders one day to see if it was better, for some reason our rounders balls were bigger and harder than baseballs, bat broke on the 5th hit, ball went a lot further than it usually would every hit though.
Cricket is the most dangerous though, my teacher got hit in the nuts with a cricket ball twice in the same year by two different girls, he was trying to have kids that year, luckily successful during the summer holidays.
