I'm laughing at this thread because everyone who is in love with the movie has it as their avatar
Which is weird why? People love a movie, people make avatars out of things they like. ps I don't have a Frozen avatar yet Frozen generally boils down to the people that fucking love it and never stops talking about it and the people that get pissed off by the people that never stop talking about it. I think it's a fucking great movie, but I'm fine with people not liking it, I do hope it wins the Oscars tonight though.
I didn't think Disney princess movies generally go into lore and bestiary explanation mode with their settings.
They usually don't, but most of the time they also don't even bother talking about the subjects or trade agreements. It's the characters, and the conflict, and they ignore the fact that other people exist, which in turn makes the story easier to believe. If you throw in the other elements, you make me think about them, which makes me unsatisfied when you don't explain it in every aspect.
I really liked the movie, it did some things different while not going fully overboard. There were some things that I hated [sp]the trolls were awful, why were they even in this movie?[/sp] but I enjoyed most of it. I didn't expect much going in, glad I was mistaken.
I'm laughing at this thread because everyone who is in love with the movie has it as their avatar
My avatar's still Spiderman :v:
Don't give Disney Execs ideas. Next thing you know they'll do a line of Pixar "Scientist" movies, with Tesla in their first film
$100 he'd be a lightning wizard and people would ship them with elsa
I liked the movie, but then Disney always do put out stuff that can be enjoyed by everyone. I loved the twist if you can call that a twist and enjoyed the soundtrack a lot. Making over 1 billion is very impressive. But I don't know, judging it as a movie, I wouldn't call it a masterpiece and at the same time I wouldn't call it mediocre either. I felt that it was a very entertaining and beautiful movie, the guys behind the music and technology stuff certainly knows what they're doing. But in the end, without disrespecting anyone, I'd say the target audience is still children, so yeah, expect some areas to not be explored to its fullest. But it did have interesting themes that perhaps only older people may pick up? All in all I enjoyed it. But see no reason to get defensive over it :v:
This film was okay. It's literally a poster Disney film though, it uses pretty much every staple from the old Disney films which is actually cool but the film is terribly overrated, not that I didn't enjoy it or anything it just wasnt as Stellar as everyone is making it out to be. In my opinion Wreck It Ralph is still the best non-pixar 3D film in years, I have yet to see one that surpasses the imagination and creativeness that film had.
It doesn't have a cliche story
The whole plot was a cliche. It's the standard love story with different spin on it to give a good message: [sp]True love doesn't necessarily have to be romantic.[/sp]
To me it felt like they executed the well known formula really really well, especially with the snowman sidekick and swapped a few variables here and there. But all in all it's still the same old princess movie formula and that's why I can't agreee with the general opinion of how fucking good it's supposed to be, something outstanding needs to use established stuff really well -Frozen did so - but it also needs to bring something new to the table.
I'm laughing at this thread because everyone who is in love with the movie has it as their avatar
You mean all of two? Seriously there's only two people in this thread with Frozen avatars. The fact people are agreeing with this statement boggles my mind.
Olaf is literally the most annoying character I've ever seen, and I have seen PLENTY of annoying characters.
The whole plot was a cliche. It's the standard love story with different spin on it to give a good message: [sp]True love doesn't necessarily have to be romantic.[/sp]
I didn't realize that standard love stories had several red herrings inside of it.
The whole plot was a cliche. It's the standard love story with different spin on it to give a good message: [sp]True love doesn't necessarily have to be romantic.[/sp]
It wasn't even a love story
I didn't realize that standard love stories had several red herrings inside of it.
I think people here are confusing [sp]happy endings with being cliche. The standard disney love interest literally attempted to murder the princess in an extremely cruel way, despite several said red herrings that he was one of the nicest characters in the movie. Then there's a twist again when you think sven if going to kiss her but instead she throws herself in front of a sword.[/sp]. It's not like the plot is super complex and deep but cliche doesn't really fit either.
You are literally more excited about this stuff than some young fan-girl would be, so.. Idk.
My theory is that he loves the movie because it has snow. He's trapped in Australia, which has been hot as balls for months now.

I have to agree that the movie is over-rated. Don't get me wrong, it's very good, but it's not the best movie in the past few years like some people say. Then again, maybe I would have liked it a bit better if I hadn't watched it with my mother. There were a few times where she cleared her throat, and I couldn't tell if she legitimately needed to clear her throat or if she was doing that "see this is just like you, all you need to do to fix everything is go to parties and make friends with everyone and start dating and become an extrovert, I don't understand how anxiety works" thing she does sometimes. I could just sense her missing the point.
No, you're just assuming that. I really like it, and don't think it's over-rated, and I have Tesla as my avatar. Pretty sure he wasn't a character in that one
"Let it go Let it gooo Edison can suck a diiiiick"
I watched it and thought it was okay but everything felt a little rushed, story and character wise.
let it go was an awful song it sounds like any other generic pop song i hear today
Sven is the reindeer
no, didn't you hear anna? they're both sven
the fact that you had to go with your mom is making me lmao so hard
My sister was the one who wanted to see it, because she heard it was really good. It was a family thing, not a "well I want to see this movie so I guess I'll have to have my mum drive me" thing.
the fact that you had to go with your mom is making me lmao so hard
The fact that you think going to the movies with your mother is pathetic and something to be ashamed about is pretty pathetic not gonna lie.
The songs really make the movie, and the beautiful animation is another plus. The only thing I didn't like was[sp]the fact Hans became a villain. I thought we'd have a Disney film without one, but whatever I guess.[/sp]
the fact that you had to go with your mom is making me lmao so hard
HAHA SPENDING TIME WITH HIS FAMILY?! WHAT A DWEEB!
...and then the castle melts
the fact that you had to go with your mom is making me lmao so hard
You sir, are a jackass.
The popularity is purely from the songs. The songs really hit their mark and are immensely popular, more so than the movie even
This thread just got really bad.
