Son of a fuck
tbh ive started seeing patterns among a few select members getting obsessed over a new piece of media
tbh ive started seeing patterns among a few select members getting obsessed over a new piece of media
It's like this
Furry Shit, Anime, Movie repeat
id rather see avatars of the dumb blonde bimbo then another cropped furry porn or another creepy pedophile who thinks its ok to have little girl anime rape as their avatars.
It's not like avatars hurt anybody

A disney movie? Getting best animated feature at the oscars?! That's unheard of!

but i meant a specific group of users on this here forum who always get that extra-obsessed over something new i.e katawa shojo or frozen or mlp or whatever

I was walking down the street and I was stabbed by an avatar.
Good animation, great songs, likeable characters. Some novel aproaches from disney.
It does have it's flaws though. The main badguy is pretty clearly a late addition and one of the good characters was probably meant to be a villain until pretty long in the developement. S there's a bunch of out of the blue moments.
they actually totally said that the character was meant to be a villain in the deleted scenes.
also idk it's not really all that special at all, I've seen people talk about it as if it's something revolutionary when honestly they've done WAY more groundbreaking shit, like Hunchback
I saw Frozen several times and I liked the songs, also, Elsa and Anna is total waifu material and that's what mostly makes the movie for me. Besides those it doesn't seem that great. I liked a lot of other Disney movies more.
And now "Let it go" won an Oscar.
What's the deal with frozen anyways? I seen it in cinemas and i thought oh hey another generic cartoon and suddenly BLAM 1 billion. (probably not as good as the lego movie either)
That was a nice performance of "Let it Go" by Adele Didsfhusd

I wonder what year they'll add "best waifu" as an oscar
French version of Let It Go is the best version.

Reminds of Tarzan and how Phil Collins handled the songs in both the English and French versions.
Fucker makes a ton of faults in French but it's such a good version anyway. It's like Hercules.
Damn it now I have to watch those movies again.

not like there was anything else this year.
Sure the story might not be the best thing in the world, and I personally think that it had way too much singing for my tastes.
But all the special effects and details that had to be done for the snow is still mind blowing

The Wind Rises was a oscar nomination in the same category.
it's based on a true story about a guy who can't be a pilot, so instead he makes planes for the Japanese. shit happens (earthquakes, Great Depression, WWII)
Easily worthy of a oscar.

also would like to give props to Earnest and Celestine, Another oscar Nominated film.

This should've won. By leagues and bounds. Frozen was a nice movie, but this was a piece of finely crafted art, with a story that had depth and was filled with emotional conflict that was not only engaging but historically accurate.
Also does someone know where I can find JUST the song?
not like there was anything else this year.
I dunno, I thought the wind rises deserved it more due to the heart put into that movie in portraying a brilliant man in the worst of times.
Also does someone know where I can find JUST the song?
Well here's the song on youtube.

honestly it doesn't look that entertaining.
Despicable Me 2 had a better chance at winning than this.
But I'm glad Frozen won, I really liked the movie.
I was without internet for a while, how the fuck did this movie get so popular? The constant advertising made it look like one of those pixar second-hand studio schlock movies.
the 'let it go' song plays every 10 minutes at my work
fuck this movie
Both me and my girlfriend hate it.
I've said all of this before but: It's an overhyped moneygrab by Disney with terrible, unnecessary songs (yes, I know, Disney does musicals, but this one made literally no sense whenever they broke into a song it felt forced and dumb), stupid stereotypes, predictable villains, terrible comedy-relief (whoever came up with Olaf has the sense of humor of a moldy piece of bread), boring story, lame fan-service (towards the people who watched Tangled, generally).
The only good thing it had going was the visuals, but really only because Disney has a tendency to "steal" assets and employees from Pixar. Look at it this way: Whenever a movie is denied by Pixar, Disney makes it in their own studio instead.
IF PIXAR SAYS YOUR MOVIE IS DUMB, YOU DON’T PRODUCE IT.
I didn't realise this was so bloody popular. Just looked like your average yearly disney movie to me.
to be honest frozen is a great movie but it isn't oscar worthy
the song let it go is though, compared to the other songs they picked (pharrel's happy is a close second to me).
