That's great, and I can't wait for more people from that background to take higher positions in the industry. The problem is that the old guard folks are still very much of the mindset that animation is a wholly 'Murican artform created and mastered by Walt Disney himself. And they're the people who decide what gets distribution and what gets marketed. I think that for younger generations you can already see signs of anime being accepted into the general mileau with stuff like Space Dandy being broadcast in the US and Japan simultaneously. That's cool, I can't wait for more of that.
