To be honest if I was superman, I'd maybe want to look like the most angsty hobo teen ever.
Nobody would suspect it.

My point still stands, he's not hipster.
Superman sucks anyway.
get outta here.
He looks like a druggy
First Dante and now Superman?
The author of the article has obviously never seen a hipster before.
That is not a hipster.
aww boo hoo hipsters god damn people overuse that word so much it's annoying.
I thought Superman was all about being a big honourable handsome super hero guy.
Uhh, There not redesigning superman guys. It's an elseworlds kind of thing. Read up on Superman:Earth One.
Ugh, cut the "WE MAKE HEM ANGSTY IT DEEP HURRRTURRRTURRR" shit, they tried that in Superman III (or something to that effect) with stupid results (and that baffling "Dual man" scene)
I thought Superman was all about being a big honourable handsome super hero guy.
yeah, but like gamerboy says (and like i said a few posts up), this isnt main canon superman.
if you want superman being quintessentially superman, read all-star superman
I see nothing hipster about it. He's wearing a jacket that has a hood. He's got some stubble too, but that's about it. There's absolutely nothing "hipster" about his new look, he's just looking a little younger.
It seems like a more GQ style inspired superman.
Hipsters don't wear skinny jeans and skinny ties.
They wear ladies size jeans and a baggy plaid shirt.
First Dante and now Superman?
This.
Looks too angsty to be the man of steel.

An argument can be made that he is not a hipster due to the fact that he isn't really in on the new age of comic's fad. This is distinctly dark age, which was late 80s to early 2000's , the age we're in now is the heroic age which is starting to go back towards a lighter feel to it with more comedy centric.

That's not true...
Bondage fetishists love Wonder Woman.
Could be worse.
This isn't the first time a hero has changed, and certainly not the first time Superman has had his appearance "updated". Looks interesting, different; pre-ordered the novel for $11 on Amazon.
Can't wait to see what they do to batman. I'm thinking rainbows and candy canes.

Even if this were remaking the character for the main DC universe it could NOT be the worst superman ever as we have both mullet superman and dual-suit superman.
So what, he's evil now?
no not evil its just a remake of him as always i just treat this as an alternate universe so if its bad it doesn't get me all riled up.
He doesn't look so bad but I would hate if it got any worse
A flying shapeshifter with 120cm long claws... Damn, wouldn't that be just awesome?
this is JUST like the new dante.

It's like they just took that, and applied it to superman. I'm fucking sick of how everything fucking looks the same today. I miss the 90s. :colbert:
I thought Superman was supposed to be Superman you know Man of Steel and so on. I am all for character development etc... but isn't this a bit much? For example Frank Miller's "Goddamned" Batman worked (well sort of) because the art was fantastic and it was funny. You never expected Batman to say something like that but you could imagine it.
You can never imagine Superman looking so slovenly. He was supposed to be perfect.
It's literally not hipster in any way possible.

I thought that was a woman.
Then I saw who it really was.
Then it reminded me of Rihanna.
the word "hipster" is getting thrown around like nobodys buisness lately
As is "angst"
