Record in Death Valley was 59c and it only got to 51 with humidity but god damn I felt like my skin was on fire
God is merciful to us by making Christmas and Boxing Day nice and cool, while every other day he tries to kill us.
I'm pretty sure we got hail in Melbourne on xmas day like... 4 or 5 years back. Was pretty weird.
Meanwhile in Perth Western Australia
18c, rain, plus winds with 50KM/h +
Make that 16c
We had snow.
You guys do not know how damn hot it is now in Melbourne , 38 degrees, and i don't even have air conditioner only have 1 plug in fan! I would rather have it snow than be freaking hot as shit. ;-;

Is it humid in Melbourne?
I was in Hong Kong this summer and man, 35+ degrees + 80% humidity is seriously fucked up. Had the air condition on 24/7.
I went outside before and I caught on fire.

Nah it's always dry as fuck. Think it's 27% at the moment.
Last year we got hit by a heat wave like this on summer, got 45C at the shade, the wind feels like it's sandpaper.
It was pretty bad.
51 degrees Celsius is fucking hotter than Death Valley, there's no way that happened in Ontario.
The actual temperature was around 38.5 C. 51 C was the Humidex. Humidex is a number that Canadians use to denote how hot it actually feels to human skin, based on the amount of humidity.
It's funny because Summer doesn't start until December
I'd die in weather like that. I'll try not to complain with my 90 degree summers in New York now.
Whoever the fuck thought it was a good idea stay in this country after they first arrived here was mentally deficient.
Meanwhile in Sweden I had to walk through snow mixed rain while the winds were blowing non stop. I thought I froze my dick off when I got home. And it didn't even get below 0 C.

Melbourne here, god i love not having to wear pants, just lounging around the house in my undies.

it's a small price to pay for some of the nicest beaches in the world

Well, at least when I'm burning to death, i can admire a view.
Its a deathtrap on the old metal box trains in sydney its around 30C and on the trains its about 100 degrees hotter if you are unlucky to get the old metal box trains
did anyone else read the article in an austrailian accent

It's always a mix, it can be just hot dry heat or just steaming humidity. Australia has crazy weather at times.
Also a Melbournian - been chilling by the pool, now inside of my airconned house.
My aircon is fucked and I need to use this standup fan
but it feels 100x better than the aircon
is this normal
How hot does it usually get in Australia in summer?
I love cold swims when it is really hot, I don't mind winter though but I always love a hot summer
Out of curiosity, how much do Winters and Summers differ in Australia?
Out of curiosity, how much do Winters and Summers differ in Australia?
Summer - hot as fuck, you will sweat and stick to just about anything, cold pools, drinks and barbies (with of course cricket) is relaxing and enjoyable
Winter - No snow in just about most parts of Australia, it's cold from the morning till lunch time, it starts heating up a bit around the afternoon and at night it can get really cold
Out of curiosity, how much do Winters and Summers differ in Australia?
During Winter it gets cold at night but it's alright during the day.
During Summer it's hot all day
If you live in Melbourne sometimes the weather is retarded and you may have one odd day in Summer where it's actually cold.
I was talking temperatures but i guess that works.
It just seems so backwards to me having summer in December. :v
Raining in Adelaide now, 30c, feels like the damn tropics
I'm in Melbourne and it's 38c, I'm dying.
Ha! Melbourne... try living in Cairns... tropical north queensland is not only hot as fuck, it's humid as shit.
