I kinda feel like an asshole reading about negative temperatures when it's like, 60 to 70 here in California.
What the fuck is with the weather.
You have my condolences.
The Polar Vortex better not be back...My job is a good 15km away and I have to ride my bike in that shit.
At least we call it something sensible, not some stupid "SUPER STORM" or "MEGA BLIZZARD" that the media likes to call things now.
Winter is coming.
Be ready.
Eh. I was grilling a couple weeks ago here in Ohio in -27°C with 30mph winds. Ain't too bad.

(~50kph)
It's fucking -17F in Minnesota. I hate the winter.

THE BIG FREEZE
Guys c'mon the cold isn't that bad.
Meanwhile in Alberta, -2 with wind chill. Sucks to be you, Ontario.
"I may be snowed in for two or three days. I better buy enough groceries to last me the rest of this winter, and also next winter."
I'd rather have too much than too little to last me.
Feels like nothing has changed.

You... You're kidding, right?
This actually reminds me of something last February. I was coming home from the Toronto Sportsmen's Show at the Direct Energy Centre, and there had been a huge blizzard all day that'd cancelled class. As I'm on the Bathurst streetcar I look outside and see some nutcase riding a bike in the snow, which had been and was still falling heavily all day. I fail to understand what goes through the minds of some of this city's cyclists that compels them to ride their bike downtown in a blizzard.
we have a huge ass blizzard coming here, rip me

20-30cm of snow
I really feel sorry for the rest of the world. Living in Vancouver the only thing mildly relatable is a sense of an impending earthquake. Otherwise it's sunny here and honestly hasn't been all the bad. Quite nice actually.
The rain shields our kingdom.
School is closed when the snow prevents the doors from opening
We've had school cancelled several times for temperatures of -45 c.
It drops below -20 like every other day in Saskatchewan (including summer). Man up easterners.
I live in a basement apartment. It's incredibly cold in here.
Well it's fucking dropping up north here in sweden too. -31C or -23F for you cavemen, luckily where i am located it wont become as excruciatingly cold
Aww yeah, another few freezing nights just days after record high temperatures for my region. It isn't hitting negatives but I've got every article of clothing from my winter gear to my shorts/tshirt out for day-to-day use.
No wonder everybody is getting sick.
this shit better not hit wisconsin again fjsfsal
I hope the insulation we put next to the hot water pipe works this time, that thing froze both other times it got this cold...
Freezing cold and internet isn't working.
Gg Ontario and rogers.
Good thing all this global warming is keeping us warm!

Play Metro: Last Light on Ultra graphics, that should warm things up a bit.

Funny you say that. I find I have to turn my top fans off when it gets really cold because the two 140's on top act like an AC.
Oh good, it's going to be -40 when I have to go to an 8AM class tomorrow.

These events were actually fairly common in the past, now they're so rare that we've become pussies for cold snaps so it hits harder

Never seen schools in Ottawa actually shut down due to the weather IIRC. Not since the Ice Storm in '98 at least.
Its only -21 in MB right now, but the wind chill is fucking serious. 40 km/h yesterday.
