I'm surprised it took this long for them to get around to doing it. It seemed inevitable. Was anybody really doubting that they'd do this so they could reduce liability?
As someone who trades every once in a while I find this really unnecessary. On trade sites people have reputation, people give them positive rep/negative rep based on their experience. If someone has negative rep, more than just one or two, you just don't trade with them. It's that simple.
