still an overpriced, buggy pile of anus I'm not bandwagoning, I'm using an iPod right now.
Still can't talk and surf the web? What a shame. I can do that with my iPhone on the AT&T network. Which surprisingly does not suck major ass where I live.
still an overpriced, buggy pile of anus
200$ is not at all overpriced
I guess the reason i don't understand the ATT hate is because ATT is actually GOOD down here.
still an overpriced, buggy pile of anus
I can get why someone would say overpriced, but buggy? No.
When will the US ditch CDMA? You can't make a call and browse (which has come in handy so many times when I had to search something for a call) at the same time, you don't even have SIM cards. The weird thing is that CDMA phones in asia have R-UIM cards though. The Roaming and International calling options suck and are unflexible. The only advantage CDMA has is that it's sometimes faster. Anyways, yay iPhone on verizon, because despite Apple doing a good thing and promoting microSIM's they now want to go backwards and promote no SIM cards and soldered SIM cards. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
Oh cool, more costy phones. Except this is an expensive phone that you need an expensive plan for.
30$ a month is pretty cheap, getting this phone where I live could cost you up to 800€ unlocked and then with a (for example) 15€ plan. Really not worth it in both the short and long run.

Its the same for isp's. They refuse to upgrade so they can keep as much money to themselves.
Now no one has an excuse to use AT&T
"Lol shut up stupid! AT&T is clearly 100% better in every way no matter what you say! xD"
still an overpriced, buggy pile of anus
Well, obviously you used it and clearly you're a professional on this stuff. /sarcasm
Fucking finally, AT&T is the biggest piece of shit.
Still can't talk and surf the web? What a shame. I can do that with my iPhone on the AT&T network. Which surprisingly does not suck major ass where I live.
That's the limitation of CMDA, not necessarily that of Verizon.
I'd switch in a heartbeat if I wasn't in contract with them. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] My poor automerge! :frown:
The iPhone 4 is great but without a doubt, there is gonna be another iPhone refresh in June/July. I would wait until they release iPhone 5 or ÜberiPhone or whatever they call it. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] A dual-core iPhone? One can dream...
Meanwhile, iPhone 3GS is 900$ in Russia
Not really a big deal in Canada, all the major telcos now use GSM.
MOTHERFUCKING TETHERING! FUCK YOU AT&T! /caps [editline].[/editline] Seriously, this is going to be awesome
Sounds good. I'm with Rogers though and have a pretty decent plan. 90 bucks a month for practically unlimited voice, practically unlimited texts, and 6GB of data. All achieved through the power of bitching through the phone. This is also how I got an iPhone 4 for free from them. Seriously. Want a new phone? Pick up the phone, bitch for a few minutes, and voila.
It's not like the fifth iphone is coming in less than half a year or anything. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] Anyway, jailbreak > all.
Why does everyone bitch about AT&T? I've had it for 4 years and have had almost no problems.
Now no one has an excuse to use AT&T
In California I get fine reception with ATT, although it can be a bitch when traveling
Now no one has an excuse to use AT&T
Verizon sucks dick in my city. AT&T is only marginally better, but better is, well, better.
Why does everyone bitch about AT&T? I've had it for 4 years and have had almost no problems.
Depends on where you live. But their service is pretty shitty in a lot of parts in the country from what I hear. Also, going over to MacRumors, it's quite interesting seeing how their opinions are just copies from what Apple thinks. Over there, you have a community that hates Blu-ray, USB3.0, and Flash, just because of what Steve Jobs thinks. Now they also all hate Verizon because Android phones are on it. Next time you get into a "You Rage You Lose" thread, just paste a link to their forums.
Oh my god, we're all so excited Not really, Telus did it when they got the iPhone 3g
Oh my god, we're all so excited Not really, Telus did it when they got the iPhone 3g
Except Telus is a tiny company with less than a tenth of Verizon's revenue. AKA nobody gives a shit about Telus.
BYE AT&T SUBSCRIPTION hello verizon
Except Telus is a tiny company with less than a tenth of Verizon's revenue. AKA nobody gives a shit about Telus.
Not the point, bud Nobody's all that worked up over Verizon getting the iPhone
You're horrible
Sorry but after seeing Android 3.0 in action, I'm never going to turn my head towards an Apple product unless it's provided for me, I'm not a pretentious trendy-douchebag that sits around in Starbucks sipping on coffee while surfing the internet on my MacBook Pro.
Sorry but after seeing Android 3.0 in action, I'm never going to turn my head towards an Apple product unless it's provided for me, I'm not a pretentious trendy-douchebag that sits around in Starbucks sipping on coffee while surfing the internet on my MacBook Pro.
Starbucks serves good coffee (though not the best) and Macbooks are suitable to many peoples' needs and function well. Sure, some trend-bags frequent Starbucks and flaunt Apple products; however, that's like calling all rectangles squares.
Now I have a reason to ditch AT&T and upgrade from my 3GS. [editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
In California I get fine reception with ATT, although it can be a bitch when traveling
I live in California too, awful service everywhere.
I hate ATT.

Android itself isn't fantastic IMO. The Blackberry Playbook's OS & iOS on iPad look much better IMO. And Palm's response to the tablet scene oughta be interesting.
