Oh dear: Xbox One now launching in only 13 countries rather than the planned 21
I don't know why people are so hung up over the exclusive titles, I mean I'm basing my purchase more on the cross platform games as the exclusives tend to be the shitter games of the consoles anyway.
It's pretty simple really, without exclusives then there's really no point in more than one console existing.
Also, the following titles would disagree with you:
Halo, Gears of War, Crackdown, Dance Central, God of War, Uncharted, The Last of Us, Ratchet & Clank, Ni No Kuni, Forza, Kameo, Killzone, Resistance, Demon's Souls, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Journey, MGS4...list goes on.
no Lithuania?
screw you
Well.., This sucked balls...
Its funny because this wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that each xbone is region locked..
At least with the PS4, if it doesn't launch in your region, you can just import and play it fine.
-snip-
To be honest I think it's a prety good move to concentrate on having no delivery problems in launch markets rather than having all markets frustrated.

No power glove.
If I was forced to get a console, it would probably be the PS4 or Wii U. The Xbox one makes me cringe. (And I really did cringe (and shake my head) during the E3 announcment and their own personal one before that)
The more likely choice for me is to stick with my gaming rig as I'm not particularly interested in any of the exclusives for any of the consoles.
Though if a Ratchet & Clank shows up for the PS4, I may reconsider...
This is the most hilarious news ever, they're really pushing for failure.

It is best to make sure that the countries you launch in don't experience issues, but this still puts Microsoft at a further disadvantage.
Honestly, the more we've seen from the Xbox One, the more I think they were originally aiming for a 2014 release and Sony surprised the hell out of them with a 2013 launch for the PS4. All the backpedaling they've had to do in response to the consumers can't be helping that pressure either.
I've actually been surprised how Microsoft completely changed everything about the Xbox One to make consumers happy, I'm also surprised that they would then in turn do this.
You were so close to being a good console, Xbone.

It might still be a good console, but I think they're going to have a rough start much akin to what the PS3 experienced back in 2006.

The PS3 already sold really well in Finland, so I wouldn't have been surprised if the PS4 sold better than Xbone.
Now it's definitely going to sell better.

Everyone let's just forget how hard they were gonna shove their dick down our gullets!

I think he was joking.

When I see posts like this:

It can be hard to tell the difference.
I don't understand the hatred, it's only a console. I still prefer it and will most likely get one over the PS4 for my own reasons.
You were so close to being a good console, Xbone.
If close means being a hundred thousand miles away from the target, then sure.

Really, I'm probably one of the guys who's gone against the bandwagon the most around here, and I can't find a compelling reason why one would get the Xbox One instead, as it stands now. I'm curious as to what the Kinect will amount to, when game developers can rely on it being available, but I'm really not convinced it's worth the $100 on top of the PS4.
And even then, I'm not getting either console anyway.
Well tbh, the PS4 would most likely have the advantage over the One to begin with (PS outsells Xbox in Europe) so this just gives Sony another foot up
If close means being a hundred thousand miles away from the target, then sure.
There's really not much wrong with the console itself. If it weren't for the $500 price tag, it'd really be up to preference. Almost.
So they basically are launching in the countries that most likely have the highest number of Xbox 360 owners currently.

Its not like they just said, "Were are gonna screw over these people in these specific countries". They do not have enough consoles to ship world wide for the release date they set. They are picked the major countries where they know they are gonna sell a large amount of consoles.
But the Kinect isn't mandatory anymore.
I know, I never said it was mandatory I meant there is no bundle that doesn't have a Kinetic.
Ah fuck of Microsoft. Why does the Scandinavians get it a long time after the rest of the countries? That's quite dumb to do.

Besides the price, the Xbox has really caught up to the PS4. Because of this, deciding on consoles is almost entirely a matter of opinion or which has the titles you want. I prefer the design of the Xbox's controller by far, it has the sequels I'm looking forward to, and most of my friends will be migrating to the One, so more people to play with.
who cares, so what if they're not releasing it in shit countries?

You're not doing your country's stereotype any favours.

is this a serious question
