except she never said just that. when people read only headlines, thats a factor.
The fuck are you talking about son?
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said.
http://time.com/4486502/hillary-clinton-basket-of-deplorables-transcript/
for those of you who don't know and only payed attention to altered headlines from such quality journalism outlets like the new york post and breitbart: Hillary Clinton called ~1/2 of Trump Supporters (Or 1/4 of Americans, if it pleases you) deplorable. She was right. Multiple studies and polls have shown that at least half of Trump supporters are racist, bigoted, noun, noun, noun, and/or noun. You only ever hear: "*GASP* THAT WAS UNPOLITICALLY INCORRECT. SHE CALLED HALF OF AMERICA DEPLORABLE!"
On one hand, I like it because its a nice taste of your own medicine due to the fact that some of the GOP are pushing the FADA bill. But on the other hand, this country is already divided enough.
Let's not steep to their level.

I'm quite curious what metrics they use to confirm around 15-20 million Trump voters are every label thrown out there.

Is this actually legal, though? Can see this causing a slew of problems here.

The same proportion described African Americans as more "criminal" than whites, while 40 percent described them as more "lazy" than whites. In smaller, but still significant, numbers, Clinton backers also viewed blacks more critically than whites with regard to certain personality traits. Nearly one-third of Clinton supporters described blacks as more "violent" and "criminal" than whites, and one-quarter described them as more "lazy" than whites.
I don't remember Clinton throwing a third of her supporters in the basket of deplorables. Her talking like half of Trump's supporters were closet KKK members was political grandstanding that backfired, not an academic assessment of racial relations in this country.
Jesus fuck, people. Trump didn't win because some crybabies in their safe space got mad that Hillary wasn't politically correct and (pretty accurately) called a section of them deplorable. He had less of a turnout than Romney in 2012, and Romney lost. The only reasons Trump won was because he managed to win specific states that the DNC neglected due to arrogance and overconfidence. That's literally it. If you were planning to vote Hillary, and decided to vote for Trump because some journalist from Gawker said you were a Nazi, you're probably the most braindead retarded voter on the entire planet. That accounts for like 4 people. If you're one of them, you should feel bad for being an idiot. If you base your voting preferences on which side's supporters were mean to you and which side were nice to you, you're an ignorant voter, end of. Oh no, I'm being an elitist liberal cuck, right? Nobody cares about your precious baby conservative feels being hurt. It didn't influence the election in any appreciable way. If it actually did, guess what, the people insulting you were right all along because that's actually fucking retarded.
people getting called cuck, liberal, sjw for years before didn't make hillary win because that narrative is bulllshit
it didn't make anyone vote for trump, and vice versa. i wouldn't really say it's the reason he won, but it certainly didn't help hillary.
Is this actually legal, though? Can see this causing a slew of problems here.
Political affiliation is not a protected class, unfortunately. This should be illegal, but it isn't.
The fuck are you talking about son? http://time.com/4486502/hillary-clinton-basket-of-deplorables-transcript/

she used those exact words to describe a large number of trumps constituents
She said the other half of Trump’s supporters “feel that the government has let them down” and are “desperate for change.” “Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well,” she said. not reading the whole picture.
Well, looking at the stats they cite: I don't remember Clinton throwing a third of her supporters in the basket of deplorables. Her talking like half of Trump's supporters were closet KKK members was political grandstanding that backfired, not an academic assessment of racial relations in this country.
Yeah, that's the problem, there were quite a number of racist Clinton supporters too, but it appeared less obvious because Clinton's rhetoric wasn't racial from what I've seen. Racism is still a significant problem in the states. Still, it was a lot higher of a percentage for Trump supporters, take that as you will.
I found a study that proposes that Trump supporters are more likely to view black people negatively and are much less likely to like living in diverse neighbourhoods.
A poll of 16,000 people. Now thats science. edit to clarify:
The online poll, which surveyed people over the age of 18 across the United States, was conducted during two periods in the 2016 election cycle.
Sample size isn't the problem. Its how the poll was conducted. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/net_election/2000/01/why_online_polls_are_bunk.html Now let me explain how this makes them appear more racist than they may actually be. 1. Less intelligent. Worldwide IQ averages place Blacks at 85 and Whites at 102. https://www1.udel.edu/educ/gottfredson/30years/Rushton-Jensen30years.pdf Mean SAT scores of Whites, 529 - 534 - 513 Mean SAT scores of Blacks 431-428-418 https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2015/09/03/sat-scores-drop-and-racial-gaps-remain-large Also the Minnesota Transracial Adoption Study
Effects of Biological Parents' Race on Adoptees' IQ As in our original study, we compared the follow-up IQ performance of adoptees with two black biological parents (black/black group) with that of adoptees having one white and one black biological parent (black/white group). As in the IQ results at Time 1, adoptees with one black and one white biological parent showed higher Time 2 IQ performance than adoptees with two black biological parents, t(74) = 3.26, p = .002, d = .84, as well as a nonsignificant tendency toward greater IQ decline, t(74) = 1.62, p = . 110, d = .42.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_Transracial_Adoption_Study https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/a2d7/85edd7aa61b7ba51355053cc61d8b924fe35.pdf Also to clarify, I'm not saying this is due to race. 2. More lazy The black unemployment rate is double the white unemployment rate. http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/black-unemployment-rate-92-more-double-white-unemployment-44 3/4/5. Manners/Violence/Lawfullness Black men are seven times more likely than white men to be arrested for murder. http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/apr/02/sally-kohn/sally-kohn-white-men-69-percent-arrested-violent/ I'm not saying I believe any of these things or that those stats even explain these things. But instead this is why some voters may feel this way.
I'm not familiar with these studies, mind linking any?
Sure. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/how-many-of-trumps-supporters-really-are-deplorable/ This one says ~40% http://www.economist.com/blogs/graphicdetail/2016/09/daily-chart-8 This one says ~58% I could post more but I don't think people would like far left leaning sources (Huffington Post, Vox, Slate) so I decided to post the best.
She said the other half of Trump’s supporters “feel that the government has let them down” and are “desperate for change.” “Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well,” she said. not reading the whole picture.
Exactly like when she apparently called Bernie supporters basement-dwellers, even though she literally said "living in their parent's basement" as a comment on younger Bernie fans being literally unable to afford living separately, and followed it with a pretty on-the-nail explanation of why Bernie supporters were upset with the establishment. That second part? Who cares, she called them basement dwelling worthless nerds.
I found a study that proposes that Trump supporters are more likely to view black people negatively and are much less likely to like living in diverse neighbourhoods.

Nearly half of Trump's supporters described African Americans as more "violent" than whites. Nearly one-third of Clinton supporters described blacks as more "violent" and "criminal" than whites, and one-quarter described them as more "lazy" than whites.... The Reuters/Ipsos poll asked people to grade whites and blacks on a series of personal traits. The results were then analyzed to compare how each respondent rated whites with how they rated blacks. In nearly every case, Trump supporters were more likely to rate whites higher than blacks when their responses were compared with responses from Clinton supporters. For example, 32 percent of Trump supporters placed whites closer to the top level of "intelligence" than they did blacks, compared with 22 percent of Clinton supporters who did the same. About 40 percent of Trump supporters placed whites higher on the "hardworking" scale than blacks, while 25 percent of Clinton supporters did the same. And 44 percent of Trump supporters placed whites as more "well mannered" than blacks, compared with 30 percent of Clinton supporters.
Well it's an interesting poll, but hardly any kind of evidence that Trump supporters are adequately more racist and xenophobic than the population. If anything, it just shows that Clinton Supporters are not far at all with having the same percentages in multiple cases.
A poll of 16,000 people. Now thats science.
You don't understand statistics. A unbiased poll of 1,000 people gives you a 95% confidence level that your poll is correct. 16,000 people would probably give you something ridiculously good like 99.9% chance that your poll is correct. Basically, your point is bullshit. EDIT:
1. Less intelligent. Worldwide IQ averages place Blacks at 85 and Whites at 102. https://www1.udel.edu/educ/gottfreds...sen30years.pdf
Oh my god, you used fucking IQ. First of all, IQ scales with education. Guess which areas of the world have less money and thus less education? Africa. Which is majority black. Your "point" is dumb.
Why not just lie? And at the end, say you DID vote for him.

They're not that unusual. My own mother was raised conservative and says some pretty shit stuff about Somali immigrants all the time, even though she's a pretty strong Democrat nowadays and has voted Democrat for the last 4 elections. But you're just saying "WHAT ABOUT THEM" instead of even recognizing that near 50% of Trump supporters think blacks are inherently less intelligent and more criminal than whites. Doesn't mean shit. You're just deflecting. Try again.
Sample size isn't the problem. Its how the poll was conducted. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/net_election/2000/01/why_online_polls_are_bunk.html
And there's the fair criticism - why'd you focus on sample size instead of the polling mechanism? Reuters/Ipsos is generally reliable, so I definitely am curious as to how they sampled for this. An "internet poll" as in one publicly available on the front page of CNN is very different from a privately-operated email poll. But both still suck.
Sample size isn't the problem. Its how the poll was conducted. I didn't know it was an online poll. You didn't mention that. I now want to know whether they made sure the residents were American or not. Because if they were, it was still accurate. You haven't addressed my IQ point.
