People are tearing up Bernie over him not being as anti-guns as the other democrats, guns are clearly not the problem and it's no surprise that someone from Vermont which has some of the most relaxed gun laws in the country and the lowest gun violence rates as well would find that guns shouldn't be scapegoated for other issues.

I missed that part.
Really, CNN? [t]http://i.imgur.com/LRAb3qg.jpg[/t]
that's fucking hilarious because when they first put it up it was half that size cnn: "HEY THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE US" "... MAKE IT BIGGER!" [editline]13th October 2015[/editline]
What did Bern say about guns? I missed that part.
sanders differentiates urban gun ownership with rural gun ownership and that the problems that face metropolitan centers can't be applied to rural areas; basically protecting his constituents' interests still believes in harsher gun control though from what he mentioned
Is there a tl;dr version because I don't have time to watch the debate or go through the entire thread.
Is there a tl;dr version because I don't have time to watch the debate or go through the entire thread.
generally mediocre, no real big hitters, clinton is being clinton, lies and says Edward Snowden would have been received warmly by the U.S. whistle-blower program.
Name-calling or not, I'd rather not work with them if it's not necessary. Their goals and ours are directly contrary, and I'm tired of seeing us compromise with a political philosophy that has no larger goal than making our goal fail and then placing the blame on us so they can get back in power.
That's simply not possible in the American two party system. To do anything without majority, we have to compromise. The best way to do that is to play diplomat and not make Republicans out to be enemies but Americans with different, if not flawed opinions. And you have to remain humble concerning your own party as well, which Sanders does by propping up other countries and their left-leaning parties and saying 'We should have done this a long time ago, but we haven't. I want to change that.'.
Kind of a small thing, but Cheryl Crow's performance tonight with the anthem was awful. Did anyone else have the same impression? She didn't keep time and was very off in general.

Please God let Bernie be president. He would be the least-shitty president we've had in a long time, maybe even ever. Anything that helps America get over its phobia of socialism, even in the most minute sense, is good in my book.
Is there a tl;dr version because I don't have time to watch the debate or go through the entire thread.
"enough about the damn email!" -bernie sanders, 2015 other than that, chafrey was pretty good for where he is in the polls, omalley was pretty weak, and the other governor was just not good at all, he had a lot to say about foreign policy but not much to say after that, other than complain about the rules of the debate. anderson didn't pull punches like his collegues did for the other debates though, which i think is rediculous, they should have pressed the republicans on the same issues like global warming, income inequality, black lives ect ect, overall this was about how well a debate should go, not that crazy pack of muppets they had on last time

There was a point where we had presidency, house, and senate, and we did nothing with that because we kept turning to the GOP and saying, "You okay with that?"
i wish sanders had been more vocal about his support of state rights when talking about gun control and the war on drugs
Wow. My dad sometimes like to flip to Fox News "just to see what they're up to." He did that just now even despite my protests of "Oh, no. Them? Why?" on seeing the logo. Within five seconds of flipping to the channel, the anchor stated - straight-faced - to the camera, "And that was the 73-year-old socialist curmudgeon Bernie Sanders..." I was speechless. And he just cracked up as he flipped back to CNN. Just... they can get away with that? It was outright cartoonish...
http://cnn.com/vote
Shit, Bernie's still ranging from %80 to %85 Kinda still surprising me.
Why were the other guys even there.

If not, then I am just going to go full edgelord and bet on how much worse the US is going to get with Hillary.
Well, im just a handsome blonde Dane. But the way i see it would be something like this, these arent my own words but I don't remember who said it. Here is a list of what we know definitively about Hillary Clinton: She wants to be president. So you should probably go with the other guy.
So is it true that CNN isn't covering the fact Bernie has been leading above 80% for 20 or so minutes now?
They mentioned it a few timestimes, but beyond that, they're clearly trying to tip the balance in Hilary's favor in their so-called analysis.
Everything else aside, I really like Bernie's no-bs presentation and how he uses facts and statistics. I think both he and Hillary did well in the debate, but Hillary felt more manufactured and rehearsed and Bernie felt more raw.
So is it true that CNN isn't covering the fact Bernie has been leading above 80% for 20 or so minutes now?
2 minutes? Try 2 hours.
So is it true that CNN isn't covering the fact Bernie has been leading above 80% for 20 or so minutes now?
remember, hillary always wins because bernie's success makes CNN's reporters scratch their head, and Fox's reporters heads explode

"kids" sounds derogatory, like they're devaluing the results desperately. Which makes sense, considering how the site itself tries to leverage clinton hardcore

Sanders' absolute weakest point seems to be foreign policy. Other than falling back on him not voting for the war in Iraq he didn't really seem to have anything at all to say.
Please God let Bernie be president. He would be the least-shitty president we've had in a long time, maybe even ever.
Just like Obama in 2008, eh?
