What good is foreign policy when society has collapsed from climate change
Climate change isn't a foreign policy issue, the question was asking about national security threats, which are actual, human threats against the nation. The power used to combat national security threats and which of those is deemed the most important isn't anywhere within the realm of climate change. It's also guaranteed to come up later considering it's a liberal topic, essentially. He made himself look incredibly weak.
O'Malley is a handsome bastard.
He's clearly failing at gun control.
Sanders fucked up that question imo, thats not a national security threat by the intent of the question
"National security" encompasses a lot of things, including environmental security
It was priority threats to our security, the audience agrees with him.
Well I disagree with the audience, they were looking for a national security foreign policy answer , not climate change. I want to know what this guy thinks about our national securoty; I'm sure there's time for climate change policy later in the debate
Climate change is a national security threat but not anymore than an immediate threat from IS, and the other things.
tbh Anderson is really asking the tough questions and I think it's definitely forcing everyone to be on point. So far, I don't see anyone lagging behind on that front.

It's interesting having a candidate who is currently under investigation for shifty things
also where was CNN's A-team for the last two debates, fucking trump gets questions on his hair, hillary gets 20 questions on bengazi
Wow Bernie
you tell'em bernie!
Climate change will cause widespread population displacement. We'll see millions of people fleeing from drought and rising seas. People will want to seek refuge in other countries. It's absolutely a national security concern.
enough about the emails!
Bernie is stupidly quiet about how he feels about America's interaction with the rest of the world and the leadership role it has. Him avoiding essentially any question where he has to step on ANYONE else's toes outside of the country is incredibly telling about what he would be willing to do, which seems like, well, nothing. Bernie's opinions on foreign policy are really what are going to do him in if he doesn't harden the fuck up.
Gotta love Webb checking his watch every time someone else starts talking. Poor guy.

God, fuck this question.
Gotta love Webb checking his watch every time someone else starts talking. Poor guy.
I feel bad for him. He has some good ideas, but hes for sure being overshadowed.
what the hell kind of question is that? its either yes or get the hell out of the room
His foreign policy is really the one area I don't have strong support for Sanders. He's far too isolationist on that front.
what the hell kind of question is that? its either yes or get the hell out of the room
Hillary is in trouble then lol didnt she say otherwise before? maybe im confused
I'm sick of hearing about Sandra Bland.
The black lives matter thing is just people trying to show off sanders as weak, since a number of people have attacked him for that
I'm sick of hearing about Sandra Bland.
do you even care about black lives?
His foreign policy is really the one area I don't have strong support for Sanders. He's far too isolationist on that front.
he's not isolationist, his stance is almost trumanist, speak powerfully, speak often, but have the stick ready just in case
The black lives matter thing is just people trying to show off sanders as weak, since a number of people have attacked him for that
He handled it marvelously though.
I'm sick of hearing about Sandra Bland.
black lives matter you racist fuck

Also, Hilary is totally subverting the issue and Anderson is helping her get away with it.
Bernie focuses way, WAY, too much on domestic and social issues. When the President is literally the chief diplomat of the US and the top ranking official in the Military, you NEED to be able to come out strong on those points, you need to at the very least, have an opinion about it, which he seems not to. "Uh..... Putin will.... regret that." "I would do... something?" Seriously, I agree with a lot of his social platforms, but those need to come along with strong leadership. Bernie doesn't even seem to want to be a strong leader.
