Just don't sit on it.

already been mentioned that it's been bent in the front pocket as well

So... just don't sit with it? :v:
bendable iphones. the future is here
They said this shit about the 5 too. I agree that the 6 and the 6 plus could be a lot stronger but I'll see for my self when I get my own how bad they are. I've had my 5 for 2 years now and not bent at all or anything actually.
Arguably he stopped on this before he caused any permanent damage.
But what do you expect with an aluminium back? The plasticity of plastic like the s5? Lmao
Face it, apple failed. Iphone 6 is a cheap piece of shit.
the problem seems to be that the area around the buttons is structurally defficient because the button cutouts took away too much metal, allowing it to bend there when it shouldn't
good thing they didn't use gorrila glass or else this whole thing would shatter
Could this just be due to heat? like heat making it likely to bend more? My Nexus 5 sometimes gets hot in my pocket, not to the point of feeling it on my leg or anything as I have a plastic protective case and the back of it is sometimes hot.

my galaxy s5 sometimes gets hot as fuck but it has never bent or anything

Nahh, you'd have to heat it up way more to bend it out of shape.
Think about it, graphics cards have plenty of metal and plastic parts and they're fine at temps as high as 80C, if your phone was getting hotter than that, the bending would be the least of your concern
I can see how this can happen if you've got tight pants with small-ish pockets. I mean, legs aren't flat so there's gonna be some pressure on the corners.
Wait they didn't use a stronger alloy?
For that price?
eh apple what are you doing.
Relying on consumer whores?
I had the One for a year and it never broke.
I've had a Z2 and it cracked within a month.
Some phone designs are simply better than others. Apple and Sony seem lacking in durability while HTC and Samsung and Nokia build tanks
I've had a M2 since july or august, and it hasn't suffered anything. Then again, I am extremely careful with it.
It only has a deep scratch on the front screen, but it has the protective cover so I should be ok.
Honestly, best phone I've ever had in all aspects, and it costed like 1/4 of the full price.
Ah, that's what I was thinking. Well, if there are any news reports of exploding iPhone 6's, I called it!
The batteries tend to be very well insulated and have protective circuitry, so if any of them explode, it's because some nimrod poked a hole in it.
IPhone kannste knicken....
heh, i can't even bend my galaxy tab 2 and nokia 5800
Why don't you people just put your phone in your front pants like any normal individual
Also does the PCB/LCD survive more arbitrary bendings? You could put a G Flex battery on it
Even in the front pocket you will still exert force on it, especially with smaller pockets (jeans for girls and such) and when sitting down. It's arguable that you actually exert less force on it whilst standing and walking if it's in a back pocket, though it obviously will be bent if you attempt to sit with it in a back pocket.
Gotta say, I'll stick with my galaxy s5 in its case though.
I can't be the only person who doesn't give a shit about phone specs right
I've been using an iPhone 3 since about 2008 and let me tell you hoo boy does it connect to the internet and let me send messages
I don't need very much. :v:
Its more of how demanding apps are. When I had an old like iphone 2 it was struggling to run any app period from 3 and up.
Android Master Race.
At least it is just bending. I remember reading on the Xperia Z2 forum about all these people whose phones' black glass shattered by being in skinny jeans.
They were all laughed at and told to stop wearing "girl pants"
Wasnt this with earlier Xperia Z and Z1 phones? They promised to fix that in Z2s screen.

Clearly it's just people wearing their clothes wrong, you need a pair of iTrousers in order to use it correctly.
what does it matter if it's poor quality? you dont HAVE to to carry your phone in your pocket!!!
it doesnt help when appledrones all wear tight hipster pants
[editline]23rd September 2014[/editline]
I dont understand. Is it just supposed to be sarcastic "DOESNT MEAN YOU CANT STILL USE IT?" shit, or what?
haha fucking appledrones get hanged

totally possible. my one plus one can flex a little when it gets hot

I assumed more sitting or squatting would cause it as it would shift the phone around a bit and tighten the pockets against the hip area.
The iVerge just posted a video about this:

is the whole bending of things backlash at critics of apple or just being cheeky, im lost
I know people have posted similar shit but here's my wording of it:
I love how all the iSheep are defending the hideous design flaw but if this were an Android phone they'd be having a field day attacking it.

Its just bad engineering. This little cunt is all aluminum too, but uses an internal component frame. It's still light as fuck but there's never been a case someone bent theirs.
i cant even get it to flex, its a good design
They probably only bend if you keep it in your back pockets. I don't see why people do that anyways; you see heaps of people especially chicks who leave their phones in their back pockets sticking halfway out and you wonder how those people don't accidentally drop them or have them stolen.
Have you seen girl pants/shorts? They all have extremely tiny pockets in general, and the only one that actually is sized well enough to fit anything is the back pocket.
watch in awe as the next big thing they will announce is "smart case" for 99$ wich is literally a metal casing for iphone coming in various flavours of
white, gray and black...
WITH RENEWED SHARP CORNERS
The whole industry needs to take a look at where they are going with design goals. Thin isn't better always. There are plenty of things that we use every day that could be made thinner, but aren't because it starts to create a myriad of other issues. I personally would rather them keep the form factor of say an iphone 4S/5 and keep it a reasonable thickness for durability's sake, and then update the internals. Develop new thinner, lighter batteries? Awesome, now you can increase the capacity and keep the same form factor. I would rather have a phone that didn't feel fragile than something pretty that you need to tip-toe around. As a furniture designer I'm constantly battling with that compromise and in the end, if it's fragile, no matter how pretty it is, it's usefulness is greatly reduced.
Same with Apple's new Mac Pro's, they are ridiculous, they break the given form factor and sacrifice a ton of practically for a novel feature.
Apple just needs to pull the reigns in a bit and make beautifully practical things again, without going too far.
