Even if your conscious mind doesn't want to produce children, the rest of your body and brain are hell bent on doing so. Seeing as what you do and do not find sexually appealing are very much not conscious choices, it stands to reason that finding out someone is flat out genetically incompatible should have the effects that it does. I don't have any sort of problems with a person having a different sex than their gender would suggest, but I'm also not about to feign surprise when people don't want anything to do with that. Genetics almost always reign supreme in the end.
