Animals were put on this Earth by Jesus. He put them here for a reason and that reason is for food, and for hunting.
I agree. :catholic:
Panda's are god damn useless. They are too incompetent to breed, it would be cruel to try and sustain them for any longer.
The pandas will not go out silently.
I recall a thread somewhere about 'snipers' that were hired to guard penguins or something. Do the same with pandas. If a poacher approaches, blow the fuckers shins out. Then they might think twice before poaching.
Pandas aren't threatened much by poachers anymore. They just don't fuck enough.
Oh... well then create some Panda aphrodisiacs or something.
Oh... well then create some Panda aphrodisiacs or something.
Then we would have a species of animals dependent on medication. The species will die either way.
I like how our civilization assumes that we have the jurisdiction to decide what lives and what dies. If we keep going down this path, there's bound to be some serious, irreversible consequence that screws us over. We're already boring are way down the path to removing a keystone species or two in oceanic ecosystems and causing an aquatic ecosystem collapse (in which case we would die soon afterwords).
Oh... well then create some Panda aphrodisiacs or something.
No, we don't want them to live. The species is inept and either way will die.
We aren't deciding this. The species is inept and either way will die.
The species is endangered because of habitat destruction.
The species is endangered because of habitat destruction.
Yes habitat destruction is why they refuse to fuck.
The species is endangered because of habitat destruction.
Scientists have tried everything to get these animals to reproduce. Natural disasters would have killed these ineffective animals just as easily.
Yes habitat destruction is why they refuse to fuck.
You're missing the point. Because of habitat destruction, their numbers have dwindled. In a larger population, their mating patterns would have sufficed to sustain that population.
Scientists have tried everything to get these animals to reproduce. Natural disasters would have killed these ineffective animals just as easily.
I'm sorry, but most species don't go from a large population to extinction in a matter of 200 years or so unless a mass extinction even occurred.
I'm sorry, but most species don't go from a large population to extinction in a matter of 200 years or so unless a mass extinction even occurred.
most species are able to reproduce without human involvement.
In a larger population they would have died because they refuse to reproduce.
No, in a larger population they would have sustained that population because their natural mating rate is tuned by evolution to match their natural population. It's not like all the pandas just decided to say "oh I don't wanna have babies anymore", it's because of changing conditions that their populations are dwindling. [editline]12:44AM[/editline]
most species are able to reproduce without human involvement.
And pandas can too.

They are weak. We destroy habitats of millions of animals and somehow they continue to live, why can't pandas? In order to create a more perfect world, inferior animals should be disposed of. They are a waste of money and a waste of space.
And pandas can too.
Pandas are to damn lazy to have sex. How can this be justified when scientists are working round the clock to get them to reproduce.
My thread has been transfomed into a place of hate... :frown:

Life doesn't work to create a more 'perfect' species, or a more 'perfect' ecosystem for that matter; all life builds towards in the long run is to have species that can adapt to their specific niche survive over species that can not survive in that specific niche. There is no goal to create a more perfect world. Also, after thinking this through a little bit more thoroughly, I think that the point that pandas should be left to go extinct is valid, and I agree to an extent. Pandas are no longer able to survive in present ecosystems around the planet, but only so soon because of human intervention.
