• Brutal Legend on PC (Steam)?

I loved the game for the most part but after the first villain (who is voiced by Rob Halford by the by, so you can add him to the list of legends this game has if you're keeping track) is dealt with it kinda goes downhill a bit. The Drowning Doom were a pain in the ass. They seemed OP to me and you have to fight them for almost an entire half of the game, plus they have shitty music and during the strategy segments you can't change what song is playing. He only had a small part as a side quest giver though.
I found this game to be interesting after the demo, though I'm quite disappointed there wasn't more like the demo. About 70% of the gameplay was an RTS style thing. While I absolutely LOVED the world and everything and am all for a sequel, they should try to leave the RTS stuff out of it.
Heard the game was super flawed But its the perfect game to get on the cheap. Pretty cool world and experience, nice writing, nice characters etc. Its a pretty unique little game even if it wasn't as good as people were hoping it would be
I really enjoyed the game on the Xbox, but I hated how the demo portrayed the game as a hack and slash, and ended right before that stage battle. I mean, you could still play the game that way, but you'd probably lose and get overwhelmed. I wish they'd been more honest with their marketing - I don't remember them saying anything about the RTS aspects until release.
The demo ended right after the first "bossfight" nowhere near a battle stage.
It might be part of the new Double Fine Bundle. http://cdr.thebronasium.com/sub/19260
If that's so, I'll pay good money in that there bundle; Double Fine deserves the good coin unlike certain other companies.
I heard this game's technically a Pikmin/Overlord style RTSRPG where you as the commander are in the field rather than on the safe end of a space telescope. If so, then I should probably enjoy this game since I quite enjoyed playing the Overlord games. That said I dunno if there's any "base-building" in this game a'la the oldschool RTSs like the -craft franchises (Warcraft and Starcraft) and Command & Conquer, which would be a wee bit of a letdown since I kinda like base-building. Also, if it is coming to PC, I hope it's a good port.
I think the best description of it is "stealth RTS". That doesn't mean what you think.
Loved this game. My favorite character was the hair metal guy who was the villain, and how he'd fly into cutscenes with his massive hair.
I was going to use that in my post, but for some reason didn't.

This game was a bait and switch for anyone who wasn't keeping up with developer interviews. The demo did nothing to indicate the game would turn into a half-baked RTS at the 50% mark. I was expecting a hack-n-slash with a bit of troop management, not an RTS where you can descend to the battlefield now and then to help. Although joining your forces' last-ditch push on the enemy stage is pretty great.
One of the few games i've ever been driven to get 100% in. One can only hope that a PC release, along with good sales, would encourage the development of a sequel.
Hell fucking yes! Was going to order a copy for PS3 on monday. Now I don't have to
holy shit, Jack Black and Ozzy and other fancy names? coolio, I am interestedish.
Apparently that's one of the main problems Yahtzee had with it. Does seem like it was a poor design choice to not include strategy elements in the demo, since if your game is an Overlordy/Pikminy kind of strategy you should make it clearer that that is what the game is.
Jack motherfuckin Black... Too bad that KG isnt in there.
he's the canon guy in the game
