The best about the game imo right now is the stealth mechanics, they work flawless, and I feel smart when i lure zombies away with smoke grenades.

I found out that zombies fucking love flares at night and managed to get up to a area only available to ladders, it was scary to say the least.
Only problem with DayZ is that time goes with the servers clock, and night is so dark you cant even tell your gun from the ground, so you have to play on servers across the globe if you want to play after 6 PM
its also fucking horrible playing with a high ping
I've seen the beginnings of DayZ but I could never actually play it due to the servers kicking me.
I had a shit-ton of mods that I don't really want to get rid of and I don't feel like doing a clean install to fix any changes.
I actually bought Combined Ops recently, and am about to install DayZ right after typing this.

Turn HDR to "very high" and it should significantly increase the amount of light you see.
Night is pretty much the best way to sneak in/out of the city spots without firing a single shot. It's great because bandits have to think twice before firing at you.

I see you're one of those people who doesn't use modfolders.
dayz is kind of boring.. I prefer actual milsim.
I would like to see a zombie mod for Battlefield 3 (if DICE could do a lot of coding to make it moddable) or The Sims 3.
There's one for 2, not sure about 3 though.
For some reason this is making me feel very happy
oh my god YES
I was hoping that it would be made for A3.
Almost any mission from the previous installment will work on the next one in the ArmA series, the scripting base stays the same for the most part, it's just a matter of editing the mission to suit a new terrain.
The creator of DayZ works at Bohemia already and has said that DayZ works for ARMA 3 already.
I would not mind native support at all
As much as I dislike Day Z (Its just not my sort of thing, but it seems well made) I am quite happy to see my favourite game becoming less and less obscure by the day.

Holy shit imagine a Sims 3 zombie mod.
You have to barricade your doors and the gigantic windows you put in your house, Modify your cars so that they are capable of withstanding the outbreak. Power outages. That would be badass.
I just wish they could somehow put in a non pvp server, but due to it being on one database it'll be unfair because you could just go on a non pvp server, get good gear and then kill people on the pvp servers.
Still, a man can dream.
