Because that doesn't look half-assed
I thought this article was going to be about starcraft :v:
I thought it was a L4D2 blogpost.
To all you saying the animation sucked: you're clearly too young to know the characters performing them. They're spot on.
JFK sounds like Mayor Quimby.
Is there any way to get the full video without going through Virus Riddled sites to complete a fucking survey to gain access to the download?
I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when Kennedy slapped the wall for it so spin around comically-like. The corny animations just added to the effect.
I'm pretty sure the bad lipsync and animations were done on purpose to give it that old time feel. I've seen in-game cutscenes in previous CoD games that looked better than that.

Do you get bonus points for shooting JFK in the head
That doesn't make sense since they didnt back it up with some kind of film grain filter or something to sell the effect, it was literally black and white, and lips out of sync
because grain filter would've looked terrible
Carrier has arrived.
If it weren't for MW2 and my rule of supporting activision as little as possible, I would probably be sold by this feature. As it stands, I am finally in a position to refuse to buy a game on principle rather than be forced into a position where I have to buy it to know what the hell everyone else is talking about. Despite its potential, MW2 was a horrible game and I don't want to repeat that mistake.
I've always hated how Call of Duty acted like Ross Kemp, always trying so hard to seem manly. But now that it's got a sense of humor, I'm actually interested in it for once.
because grain filter would've looked terrible
And now you're going against your first point where they made it look terrible to give it an old feeling...
It doesn't look terrible. It looks like how old filming and recording used to look. You guys are just nitpicking because it's in a newly releasing video game. Film grain, depending on how much is added, would've ruined the comedy effect of the video mixed with dramatic zombie atmosphere. In the end, it doesn't really matter. Because it's a zombie mode in a Call of Duty game.

Treyarch aren't the greedy ones. :colbert: They're the good devs.
I just hope the single player won't be 4 hours on FUCKING VETERAN like MW2 was. :argh:
I love how JFK so matter of factly and calmly says "zombies". Like hes been fighting them for years or something. [editline]2nd November 2010[/editline]
Treyarch aren't the greedy ones. :colbert: They're the good devs.
Devs aren't greedy, Kotick is.
MacNamara should strangle people with seatbelts. It would be awesome.
Is there any way to get the full video without going through Virus Riddled sites to complete a fucking survey to gain access to the download?
You are not very lucky.
Those animations look like shit. but I still love Nixon's personality
Look's like 4 player coop with Nixon, JFK, Fidel Castro and McNamara. Damn, it might as well have been a L4D blog post.
Want Nixon.
Ask not what the zombies can do to you, but what YOU can do to the ZOMBIES.
This is gold. Who honestly saw this coming? Kennedy, Castro, McNamara and Nixon, Who's dialogue is almost entirely comprised of famous quotes and political buzzwords of the time, Having to Shoot, Stab and Slice their way out of a zombie-overrun Pentagon. It's the kind of plot a B-movie only wishes it could pull off. I appreciate that they didn't just go over-the-top with this, But went Over-the-Top.
Treyarch aren't the greedy ones. :colbert: They're the good devs.
I always get a good chuckle out of statements like this. Before Modern Warfare 2 was released, You'd have been hard pressed to see anyone claiming Treyarch was not just a shovelware developer and Activision puppet throwing mud onto the brand name to grab cash. These days? Just replace "Treyarch" up there "Infinity Ward". It never fails to impress me to see just how readily the fans hate you the very moment you do something they don't like and promptly deny they ever once had anything but scorn and contempt for you...When not three days before they gushed over you and thought you could do no wrong. Fans are such fickle creatures.
Ich bin keine Zombie. [editline]1st November 2010[/editline]
Ich bin keine Zombie.
It's from the RPS comments. :v:
Darn, this video got pulled. And I was gonna show it to a friend.
Fuck youtube, they removed the video
