• Sexually frustrated dolphins torture and kill for fun

That's criminal. They need law and order in the Dolphins world!
I have the weirdest boner right now.
I told you they were sentient.
So now in order to not be killed we have to jack off Dolphins? OH BOY
See, animals are just as big of an asshole as humans. Cept I guess they have a DETH (Dolphins for ethical treatment of Humans) that go around treating people nicely and killing dolphins.
DETH folks also get upset too, because dolphin parents think whale music encourages dolphins to kill innocent humans :v:.
Hmm that's interesting. Because humans also torture and sometimes even kill for fun. Only difference is that humans can say "Please don't kill me"
Dolphins can say that as well, it's just more along the lines of "EEERCK EERCK EERCK"
Just man the harpoons and be done with it. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
Dolphins can say that as well, it's just more along the lines of "EEERCK EERCK EERCK"
And I'm glad you are so sure about that :v:
This is probably the same reason rape in South Africa is so common. Dolphins can't exactly rape each other so they just kill each other.

I wonder what Dolphins taste like...
I told you they were sentient.
Weren't they classified as non-human persons several years ago? I don't think it was official, but it's widely accepted. Oh well. The crazy things a sexually frustrated male will do.
Well it's obvious why they do it. Once they get past the threshold of not doing shit based solely on instinct, they do shit to appeal their most basic emotions without restraint, same with chimps who literally sadistically destroy other tribes (not sure if this is the right word) for no real reason, not even territory. As they get smarter, they learn to control themselves. (They're obviously not going to get smarter just hypothetically) Same way with humans in a different way. Once you get smart enough to ask, "how did we get here?" you're going to turn to religion to explain it. Smart enough to see and explain phenomena, but not smart enough to understand them. We as a species now can understand them though and most have reconciled science with religion, at least in developed countries.

We must construct a dolphin brothel to ease their sexual tensions. I guess those weird dolphin dildos and fleshlights can be good for something. Wow facepunch we managed to turn a thread about Dolphins raping and murdering into a religion debate.
Did you know dolphins frequently engage in gang rape
So you're saying that people who follow religions are a lower form of intelligence?
No he says Religion is a logical refuge in the face of ignorance and confusion. Just a bad place to linger once you actually know how stuff works.
I hate dolphins.
No he says Religion is a logical refuge in the face of ignorance and confusion. Just a bad place to linger once you actually know how stuff works.
Isn't that more the purpose of superstition rather than religion? Religion is more about giving purpose to life and morality.
Isn't that more the purpose of superstition rather than religion? Religion is more about giving purpose to life and morality.
Religion is a superstition at it's core. The morality and purpose of life are detached from Religion, they aren't linked. You can have morality without religion. You can have Religion without morality.
Dolphins are known to rape/gangrape human females as well if they're in the mood.
Dude they'll rape guys too.
i told you about dolphins bro i told you dog no but seriously what the actual fuck
D'aww, this is cuter than when stallions murder foals just to prove dominance over it's sire.
give them the death penalty wait what's this thread about again
Stop it.
how the fuck do you even drag religion into a thread about dolphin rape anyway
Okay I was never trying to say what you guys think I was saying. I worded my argument pretty poorly I admit, but I was just trying to explain that we've gone from simplistic polytheistic religions that explained every phenomenon or concept as a god (like a sun god) with religions that don't need a god to explain each phenomenon and can be reconciled with science. Helios makes no sense and can't really be argued for with our modern knowledge but a Christian could just say God created the processes by which the Earth orbits around the Sun and rotates causing the sun to "rise" My original argument was too broad, and easily interpreted in different ways (like modern religion in my argument lol) but you can see what I'm getting at if I explain it better. I'll break it down, sorry it just made more sense to me when I was writing it. "Same way with humans in a different way. Once you get smart enough to ask, "how did we get here?" you're going to turn to religion (first religions, animism, polytheism etc.) to explain it. Smart enough to see and explain phenomena (Helios racing across the sky is the sun), but not smart enough to understand them (rotation of the Earth causing the sun to "rise".) We as a species now can understand them though and most have reconciled science with religion (modern religions have reconciled science with religion. They don't need to explain every single phenomenon as a god or spirit or life force, but can explain them with an all encompassing god or gods) at least in developed countries (developing countries, like those who tend to very poor, for example witch doctors in Africa)
All they need is love (and sex)
I would be worried for the population if everyone on facepunch were dolphins
