The fat Asian guy just seemed really out of place. How does he stay fat in a post-apocalyptic setting? Plus all that high-tech shit he has.

Since they made this short :xd:
Ahahahahahaha- no.
"Adrian going through hell and back fighting monsters n shit and now he's all like aww hell naw, a squad of micky mouse characters, *suicide."
If it wasn't related to Half-Life, it would be maybe passable.
But it's a bad film and even more terrible for Half-Life fans.
Here's a less crudely opimised gif

Adrien is some poor FP'er and the combine soldier is TH89.

The asians always has to be the fat nerdy guy. Sigh.
Did anyone for a second think that the title said Black Mesa Source?
i wanted Black Mesa Source way more. :smith:
The only thing Half-Life about this is the sound effects.
[sp]Why not cook the grenade until the verge of explosion, then toss it underarm so it explodes in their faces, then dive away in the confusion?[/sp]
1: The only reason the zombies were zombies in hl2 was because the headcrab had taken control of them, it wasn't some virus.
2: In order to have a flatline you would need to have the suit connected to your vitals, and since when you died your eyes apparently go red, why weren't his eyes red when he was pretending to be one of them? I doubt he was able to undress the other guy and put himself in his suit and have the connection be spot on.
3: A sword?
4: Why do they all have sleek uniforms and why do they all wear the lambda symbol. I mean, I realize in HL2 they were all wearing a pretty similar uniform with a lambda band, but that was only due to model restrictions. There would be no sense in being a rebel and dressing yourself as one, because you would make yourself unable to merge back into society unnoticed, no?
Let me gather my thoughts, I'll tell you every way that this 'Movie' is a horrible display of full on retard and it's just a laughable disregard for it's source material.
Just give me a minute.
FUCK IT I GIVE UP.
I enjoyed the short. Some of the matrix-ey bits where ridiculous. It may not be faithful to the source material but overall I enjoyed it.
However, Adrian Shephard cannot die.
The gas masks are actualley based on the original concepts for Half Life 2.
Edit: Also, the machete thing was stupid.
This is a great film...For comedy
I actually really enjoyed this.
If you try not to pay so much attention to details, it's pretty cool...
The fight scene was nice and well made, even though the "hurr durr I have a gun but I'm gonna be a badass and kill you with a sword instead" thing is pretty cliche and unnecessary.

iirc the gas masks in the original concept for the Overwatch sniper are based off M17s and not PBFs like in the film...

Some obviously haven't played halflife. Also, metropolice are regular humans, with little training in combat. How the fuck can one then kong-fu his way out?
Did the creators even play the game instead of using it's popularity?

This one looks a lot of better and clearer too, good job!
That fat asian guy with the cool watch.
IMO, they tried at least. We should give constructive critisism because there are limited amounts of people willing to make a movie about a game. Even if you don't like them, at least try to help them for the industries sake.
I got it, the director was playing a Fake factory HL2 campaign model replacement the whole time...It makes Total Sense
