i think two of them didnt make it ..
Am I the only person who got absolutely nothing from the video, aside from the fact they can rotate around and say things I can't understand? I assume they're saying something in French, seeing as the team is French, but I don't know French.
edit: The video with them "dancing" reminds me of something from Zelda for some reason.
5:58 This, also the music from the Goron place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHsgVwst_34
The pictures made me think "Dawww, like a real life Pixar lamp." The videos made me wish I never knew they exist.
Robot designers should take a hint from Moon. I mean, seriously - everyone with a computer is already perfectly comfortable with smileys. We should really stop trying to make robots look like people until we're actually good at it.
Dear God, their faces. Their blank, lifeless faces.
oh they're so cuuuuuuuuute

No no no don't look right at the camera NO STOP THAT STOP STARING AT ME
It is way to late for me to click any link labeled "nightmare fuel" Will revisit tomorrow.
nope nope nope nope
Can anyone translate what the robots in the video are saying? They seem to be asking questions or something.
quit browser the exact moment they started laughing
See, when you said that these skull-bots "interact" with people, I thought that you meant, like, power-drilling them in the face or something. This is a lot less scary than I'd imagined. Also, someone needs to replace those noises they make with that howl The Thing makes when Windows dies. BECAUSE YOU GUYS AREN'T SCARED ENOUGH ARLEADY, RIGHT?
oh god it said mommy jesus
*laughter*
Fucking christ no
Why can't they just fucking put a smiley face on it.
To counteract this nightmare fuel, one of the links in the OP lead to curious, robotic puppies. Here is a video of them. http://playground.csl.sony.fr/Communication048mb.wmv
The video down for anyone else?

I want one. They're awesome.

Oh, and guys, just remember that technological singularity is slated for around 2015. Just wait until computers start creating shit like this on their own.
Why can't they just fucking put a smiley face on it.
You'd really prefer a lifeless SMILEY staring at you? I'd say give them camera eyes, no mouths or noses or anything. Leetle Wall-E's for errybody!
Oh, and guys, just remember that technological singularity is slated for around 2015. Just wait until computers start creating shit like this on their own.
I think that we've got a small while to go yet. Half a lifetime, perhaps around the 2020's or 30's.
I really like them for some reason.
I don't get it, what makes them scary?
I don't get it, what makes them scary?
I was thinking the same. Maybe because their faces. Aww, they can do Can Can.
*looks at pictures* they're not so bad, kinda cute *opens video in new tab, continues reading to wait for the advert to finish* *go back to the tab to see if the video's loaded* *creepy robot spins and stares right at me* NOPE
Are the robots actually interacting with each other on their own in the video or is that just part of the exhibit? Like, one robot says something and another one repeats it, then they turn to each other and dance in sync. Really interesting stuff. But holy fuck that video, the part when they looked at the camera, it's like they looked past it and stared RIGHT AT ME.
