Who's going to be taken from us next? Stan Lee? Please, don't be Stan Lee...
Rest in peace.
The BBC appear to be refraining from reporting the news.
Ugh, was terrible to hear the news. Rest in peace, Sir Lee.
The BBC appear to be refraining from reporting the news.
They're probably writing up a lengthy article in response.
He's so old, it's nice knowing he's had such a long life and only had to end it because it was his time. I haven't seen him in much other then the most famous things but he was a great man, one of the many great British actors.
Man, that's so sad, but at least he had a long life It's so weird to imagine that he isn't with us anymore, he was so iconic. Rest in piece.
Well at least he had a good long life, and he got to see and do a lot of wonderful things during it. He's left behind a strong legacy as a terrific actor, a fascinating man, and a genuinely accomplished career too. He'll be remembered for years to come by us fans.
respiratory problems
Although this is also a cautionary tale why you should always wear a mask before handling explosive black powder substances with the intent of blasting through stronghold fortifications.
Holy fucking shit no way is this true it can't be :(
Knew this was coming, but still extremely sad. Amazing that he just released an EP with his metal band in December. Anyone can only hope they live that long doing fun projects like that.
They're probably writing up a lengthy article in response.
Would have expected it to hit BBC Breaking at least. I can only think they're struggling with their own confirmation.
Rest in peace. I was worried about him after he didn't do a 2014 Christmas message, his last one was both sad and heartwarming. "...and in that film, which will come out December next year, and I hope I'm around to see that, there's a lot of me in it..."
Good actor. Real shame to hear he isn't amongst us anymore. He lived a long and full life and his accomplishments shall be remembered for a long time to come.
68 years of film/TV work, holy snot. We'll miss him. He set a standard, he really did.
Rest in peace you magnificent bastard.
RIP you amazing individual. Metal, film and the world have lost a true artist, may your legacy live on.
This completly ruined my day.
Man he lived such a long and an amazing life. It was his time, that's all.
Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
Dooku was probably one of the better parts of Episodes II-III. He also apparently did some shadowy stuff in WW2 which he was never allowed to talk about.
As bitter as this is; I'm glad he lived the life he did and glad he was able to live so long. RIP christopher lee I didn't know Chris Lee was even one of the last people to see a public execution in france at 17 years old On June 17, 1939, Weidmann was beheaded outside the prison Saint-Pierre in Versailles. The "hysterical behaviour" by spectators was so scandalous that French president Albert Lebrun immediately banned all future public executions. Unknown to authorities, film of the execution was shot from a private apartment adjacent to the prison. British actor Christopher Lee, who was 17 at the time, witnessed this event. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugen_Weidmann#Execution
Damn. He was one of my favorite actors. May he rest in peace.
Fun fact, he served British Intelligence with Ian Fleming, the creator of the James Bond series. He also got Tolkien's blessing to play Gandalf if a live action film ever happened. He was the only person on the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit cast to actually meet Professor Tolkien before he died.
Goodnight, sweet prince.
The world hasn't just lost a great actor, it also lost an all-around badass. Aside from being Dracula, Death, Count Dooku, Saruman and lots of other things, he was also a multilingual Nazi hunter for a while and was part of the SOE. He also made a heavy metal album about Charlemagne. Rest in peace sweet prince.

IIRC there was once a conversation something along those lines, dude was truly bad-ass, and shall be dearly missed.

RIP in peace The man was a legend and I think we can all only dream of having a life he had.
I had no idea on how much work he actually did!
It's depressing. Such a fantastic guy. I hope he's forever remembered.
