So in reality, all whitehouse.gov is designed for is so that people can pretend their voices are being heard while nothing changes. Why am I entirely unsurprised?

Once again the US Government sticks its fingers in its ears and screams NEENER NEENER at its problems.
Yes, the EXECUTIVE BRANCH stating that it has no power to suddenly abolish a law is the equivalent of ignoring its problems.
You mean like "Scrolls"?
that's a trademark case you schmuck
I'm more interested in how they'll reply to the petition to take the petitions serious.
We appreciate your concern, but the executive branch is the only branch of office that can propose laws or amend the constitution. We are currently working on petitioning congress to act on several petitions, however we can not directly influence congress's decision.
Weird, the government being a massive let down.
You guys really didn't buy into this shit, did you? It's just a way to make it seem like they're listening to you and care. They're politicians, a damn petition won't do shit.
help American entrepreneurs and businesses get their inventions to the marketplace sooner so that they can turn their ideas into...new jobs.
I hate that this is a mandatory thing now. Doing something? Has to create jobs. Defending something? That something creates jobs. Opposing something? Getting rid of it creates jobs.
Raping old ladies and shooting fireworks up your ass creates jobs. The phrase has no business in legitimate political discourse.
