Attention doesn't automatically translate to support and votes.
Bad attention can and will translate into loss of support and loss of votes.

Hillary is getting bad attention (poll says she's corrupt) from this.

That Twitter account is /pol/ personified, they may as well sign off their posts with 1488. I hope you're not implying that the source changes anything in this case.
At best the post is tone deaf as hell, which is inexcusable when trying to sell your public image. At worst, it's dog-whistle tactics designed to pander to white nationalists. Pick your poison.
even if the original intention is for it look like a star of david, it's not a star of david. it's a generic six-pointed star colored red. and the fact that the trump twitter deleted it soon after shows that they quickly realized it could easily be misinterpreted. if this one slip-up is enough to convince you that trump is an anti-semite, then you already had your mind made up anyways so it's not like it matters.

So is Trump. Trump is gettin a LOT of bad attention, from having a broke campaign to his racial remarks on hispanics and Muslims.
Also, don't fucking PM me responses to my posts in this thread (or others), just reply it here.

No proof that it's /pol/ personified and it still didn't originate from a /pol/ thread that's blacklisted by most search engines. It's very likely that he found it from Twitter.
I snickered when I saw all the digital journalists throw a fit over this. They can jump on this all they want, but it'll just be called an accident and people will look even more retarded than literally Hitler did.
Much as I dislike Trump, this seems like a pretty honest gaffe. I seriously doubt that he was trying to disparage Jewish people.
Israel-American here. Let's get this shit over with.

This is the Star of David.

This is a six pointed star. It may have six points, but it's certainly not a Jewish symbol. Other than being a six pointed star, the two have literally nothing in common.
These aren't even close to the same thing. There isn't a single Jewish person on this earth that would identify the former as our religious symbol. I'd like to make a quick comparison:
[thumb]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/evil/images/2/2b/The_Reverse_Pentagram.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20151219214026[/thumb]
This is a reverse pentagram.

This is a star. It may have five points, but it's certainly not a satanic symbol. Other than being a five pointed star, the two have literally nothing in common.
You guys are literally getting upset over a Microsoft Powerpoint shape that has nothing to do with religion in any way whatsoever. This really just looks like a desperate attempt of throwing dirt-- can a mod change the thread title, please?
Look at above post.
I don't understand your point.
At most you could probably call trump an idiot for not having some sort of filter installed but I guess that's winning him the election.
Much as I dislike Trump, this seems like a pretty honest gaffe. I seriously doubt that he was trying to disparage Jewish people.
Yeah, yeah-- of course you would say that. You see, I noticed something about your post.

If you zoom in very closely, you can see this:

Okay, okay, now, bear with me for a few seconds here. If you look carefully, you'll see a symbol that looks like . Which, if you turn around, looks like . Which is clearly a reversed pentagram, which means Big Dumb American is a satanist, only on Facepunch to corrupt our youth!
In all seriousness, I knew the media was insane, but I'm still wonderstruck that this somehow made it onto any respectable news website.
Don't you guys realise?! He's HITLER this is just more proof #Hillary2012 #I'mwithher Are you guys MAN enough to vote for the first WOMAN prez? :worried:
I don't understand your point.
He seems to be under the impression that because the original creator may have intended it to be antisemitic, then Trump obviously absolutely did as well.
Trump tweet evoking anti-Semitic imagery first posted on fringe message board - cnn
is there no end to the shameless manipulation of the available facts?
He seems to be under the impression that because the original creator may have intended it to be antisemitic, then Trump obviously absolutely did as well.
If he did, then he absolutely failed. The star in that image is simply not the Star of David. Without the related clickbait headline, I highly doubt there's a single person that would give two shits about the infographic.
The truth is that CNN and the like are probably more than knowledgeable of what the Star of David looks like. I just don't really think they care-- the headline is enough to potentially dissuade Jewish people from voting for Trump. After all, who actually ever even reads articles these days?
I seriously doubt that he was trying to disparage Jewish people.
Would be awkward as hell, his daughter is Jewish
This is just making news out of nothing, probably to smear. It's just a star. Just like the rating we have.
I'd be inclined to agree with you if it didn't come from 8chan's pol board.
Whether Trump himself intended it to be a star of david is irrelevant, someone on Trump's campaign is going to white supremacist forums to find things to tweet on behalf of him. That's a problem.

digging deeper it came from a twitter account that was /pol/ incarnate.
digging deeper it came from a twitter account that was /pol/ incarnate.
So wait, you're upset that a politician used an image made by a Twitter account whose owner has beliefs that you don't agree with?
Dude, just admit that it's not 'anti-semitic' and go back to throwing baseless accusations in the next inevitable tabloid-trash thread. You're digging so hard to try and convince yourself of something that's entirely untrue and it's honestly quite saddening.
That is not a star of david. this is ridiculous

How do you know? The fact that it originated on /pol/ doesn't mean that's where they found it.
possibly the biggest non story yet

Could the police be a jewish conspiracy???
:tinfoil:
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen people try to put up as controversy.
Could the police be a jewish conspiracy???

All cops are Jews? Unless when they kill unarmed black folk, then they're white?
digging deeper it came from a twitter account that was /pol/ incarnate.
Ok, so someone on Trump's staff was reading a different white supremacist resource to find campaign materials. That makes no difference.
I really don't think the story should be about a star of david, rather the fact that trump may have retweeted white supremacist material.
white supremacist material
A poster saying that Hillary Clinton is corrupt and a FOX news poll count as white supremacist material?
You see, last I checked, that stuff involved white robes, hoods...
I really don't think the story should be about a star of david, rather the fact that trump may have retweeted white supremacist material.
But he didn't? At least not intentionally, and there's nothing about the post itself that is indicative of white supremacy.. So who cares?

Or someone sent him a link, or he found it via hashtags, or any number of other possibilities. I think it's funny how after initially failing to peg Trump as a white supremacist, now you're just holding on by your fingernails by asserting that his staffers are white supremacists. Is it possible for anything involving Trump to not be pure evil to you?
