What drove him to suicide might have to do with the KIND of sex he had. If you're boning a chick you might think "meh, so what if it's broadcast". If you're gay and you're with a dude you might think "meh, so what if it's broadcast". But if you're with a chick and she's ramming you with a strap-on because that's you're thing, then you might not be so happy with people watching. I don't know what the equivalent of that would be for a gay guy, but I'm sure there is one. So Not being Out + Not doing something you want to share even if you were out + knowing it'll be all over the internet + knowing your family will find out = later.
