Yeah I don't particularly think the roommate is a devious evil bastard because most likely it was a harmful but not meant to actually kill prank. However calling the gay dude a coward is not exactly right either. A lot of people struggle with their sexuality, and in a lot of cases peoples lives can end (not literally) because they come out. Your parents disown you, the threat of losing all your friends, etc.

So I'm reading through the thread, smiling at the puns, then I realize it's actually someone I know.

Charge him with manslaughter, or at least something to get him into jail for a few years. Coming out is a huge step for a homosexual and should be done at their own pace. What that man did would be embarrassing enough for any straight man or girl to have to go through.
