I don't like racing games.
Me neither but I don't shove it in people's faces. At least I don't think so.
We need more new creative attempts at the racing genre.
I really liked Blur. It's like Mario Kart but with real cars and stuff. It's Sad that Bizarre Creations stopped doing games, I really liked the games they made.
I played the shit out of burnout legends for PSP, I was so pumped when I got that F1 car
Never really considered Burnout a racing game. More like 'how hard can I hit this dude' kind of deal. Getting all gold medals in Burnout 3 was the biggest fucking hurdle of that game though.
You need the reaction times of a fucking jedi to beat burnout 3.
Thread music With that aside, I'm not sure how Criterion will go on without making more racing games.
Don't even get me started on the soundtrack, I have the whole thing downloaded.
I still play burnout 3 on the PS2 today.
Fuck ya'll, NFS MW 2012 was pretty awesome. Was it like original most wanted? Not really, but it's still fun as it's own game and isn't a putrid pile of fuck like everyone seems to be saying it is. I do wish that EA would let black box on NFS and let criterion do their own thing.
NFS Shift 2 + G27. Now shut up :p
Good. They ruined NFS. Black Box used to make awesome nfs games. Even undercover wasnt as bad as the accel/handbrake only stuff Criterion pulled for a game that wasnt about MADU DURIFTU and roads as wide as a 70 year old prostitute.
Agreed so much. The new most wanted is so much worse than the original. I bought it when it came out for wii u, and traded it in like a week later (got it through an origin sale and only lost $10 thank fuck). It's the only game I've ever traded in. Was just a very mediocre game, and extremely lacking in content compared to the original.
I want a new NFS underground.
Hopefully they try to do a proper successor to Need for Speed 3/High Stakes. Hot Pursuit 2010 was an attempt at that, but they made the driving mechanics way too easy (tap drift to take every corner in the game!). Because of that, races were basically a battle of who hits the least amount of traffic which partially relies on a random number generator, and not as much on who is actually the best driver. The soundtrack also doesn't have shit on what Rom Di Prisco, Jeff Dyck and Saki Kaskas did in the old games.
Im sorry, But the Recent Most Wanted reboot was a stunningly fun game. Not to mention Hot Pursuit which was also pretty goddamn fun. Both of which where far better than what the series had started to devolve into. (Although SHIFT and SHIFT 2 where nice changes) Edit: It's just occurred to me that every single NFS game other than the handheld versions, have aaaall been on PC. I find that rather impressive.
2012 MW doesn't holds a lit match to the old one. I enjoyed HP 2010, but calling Most Wanted to the new NFS game is the most obvious attention whoring move they pulled. They could have called it burnout with cops and licensed cars and it would have been more accurate. I took a look at it, and found it to be pretty bad. Reminds me of those handheld games you buy in the 99cent stores that just have sprites that light up when you "turn" your car left or right. It's just a bunch of drag racing with drifting in every "sharpish" corner you find, you don't even need reverse. Not to mention that the only thing that gives it the name of Most Wanted is the fact that it has cops, which HP already had, and so did UC, and the first MW, and Carbon.
As much as i want Black 2 so bad, times have changed in making games since then. day one dlc, competitive multiplayer with no thought put into it, stupid choices to save money. I could and very much hope im wrong about it, if they do a Black 2. But remember they are still under EA.

Its what made killzone my favourite fps on the ps2 and overcome the many problems it had, which I never really cared about. Of course, that was on the ps2 where consoles were more casual and games weren't filled with dlc.

HP 2010 was amazing and I played that game for hours. I was killer as police, and busted like 99% of my opponents. It's a shame the online community is dead. MW 2012 was just boring. I think I have only like 3 hours of playtime. There's nothing to do and the police chases are pretty boring as well. There is no penalty for being busted and there is no sense of progression. It just feels so dull, boring, and empty compared to HP 2010.
I want a new NFS underground.
Wasn't Most Wanted (2005) supposed to be Underground 3, while Carbon being 4? It's strange how they decided to stop thinking about numbering the games. Plus, my knowledge says that NFS Undercover had two development titles. First, it was Most Wanted 2 (according to the GL.ini, which is the game launcher), and then I looked at the VP6 video files and saw Need for Speed: The Chase.
MW2012 wasn't such a bad game.. but it's Burnout, really. It doesn't feel like NFS. If Criterion would name it Burnout, everything would be cool. Anyway, NFS franchise needs a reboot. A full one. Like new Tomb Raider.
Didn't Burnout have those missions where you're supposed to jump of a ramp and crash into as many cars as possible? hopefully someone picks up the title.
Burnout 3 was the best in the series, in my opinion. I didn't like the open world style of Paradise and I was disappointed with the removal of Crash mode.
PCSX2 bitch. I love that game. Great for parties.
