No they don't. The website was put up before MW3 was trademarked.
This is gonna be good.
Unless Activision's lawyers find a loophole so they can tear the guy behind the webside a new asshole, just so they can rape it.
Sites down now: www.modernwarfare3.com
No they don't. The website was put up before MW3 was trademarked.
No, the Modern Warfare franchise was trademarked way before this site, any variation of The "Modern Warfare" IP is illegal. In this case, the modernwarfare3.com site is IP and cyber squatting.
brb purchasing modernwarfare4.com
Tbh Activision cant take a joke, and as soon as they are made fun of they have to go and cry about it.
Im just sayin'
brb purchasing modernwarfare4.com
Too bad they have already purchased the next 40.
And they will all still use the same engine.
This is bullshit, way to go Activision.
I knew it. Activision would much rather sue for the domain name and punish the owners than try to buy them out.
is modernwarfare3 a registered trademark? Because if it isn't then they have absolutely no right to sue.
I don't see Activision getting the domain name, they have no rights to it anyway.

Would you offer money to a guy who's trying to fuck you up the ass?
What a pussy, taking it down...
congratulations Activision, you're an asshole
again
is modernwarfare3 a registered trademark? Because if it isn't then they have absolutely no right to sue.
The website was published before MW3 was trademarked.
They're so worried about their reputation that they can't take a joke anymore. (if it was a joke, which it seemed like one)
What a pussy, taking it down...
It was probably crashed due to all of the sudden views on it.
And honestly you all are just bandwagoning over "I hate Activision"
They make games that hit a target audience well. You all laugh at $15 map packs, but people who play the game don't mind buying them - They enjoy the extra maps. Making games is a business and Activision sure as hell brings in money. Hating a game company because they make successful games you don't have to buy is dumb.
If someone had "Half-Life3.com" and posted a bunch of stuff about how bad the half life series is, I doubt you all would be mad if Valve wanted the domain taken down.

While there are no official statistics, I would most certainly have to guess that AT LEAST 75% of the current generation of CoD games' players are less than 15 years of age. More than likely a majority of which are over-privileged, meaning their parents are likely unknowingly spending the $15 for these map packs with their credit cards, PayPal, or whatever the transaction method may be. I can assure you that if you explained to these parents exactly what it is that their children were purchasing (the fact that the item in question is only 3 levels on which a video game can be played out of the dozen or so that said game already has), the parents (knowing the value of a dollar given the fact that they have likely worked very hard to earn their money), would LARGELY disagree with the way this money is being spent.
If it were solely up to the parents, which it should be, the odds are that these $15 DLC type shenanigans would absolutely be a financial flop.
Corporations KNOWINGLY making money because of the lack of knowledge parents have regarding video games, current technology, etc. is NOT RIGHT.
This is why people do not like Activision. It is not a bandwagon. It is not something people do to be cool. It is a group of people who understand the situation at hand and protest exactly what is going on.
Not to mention, the fact that this corporate giant has successfully made perhaps millions of dollars off of the map packs alone has influenced other game companies to follow in its footsteps in hopes of the same profit.
It is a knife through the heart of the gaming industry and nobody should defend it. Ever.

I still don't see how they were able to get a Trademark on a term like that.
I still don't see how they were able to get a Trademark on a term like that.
What the fuck are you talking about? Activision has owned the "Modern Warfare" franchise trademark since 2006.
You know they're suing for squatting, and then they can go and scoop it up afterwards?
I highly doubt that Activision isn't going to end up with the domain at the end of the day
Turn it into a porn site
Oh yes! Shove that modern up my warefare!
Turn it into a porn site

$2600? That's it? Activision wipes their ass with bills bigger than that.
Yea but to the people they are suing that it probably is a big deal.
This is like suing if i owned a domain called oblivion and getting suied
