Special needs girl raped after being used as 'bait' to catch sex-offending teen

He rapes another student and he returns 5 days later? Lmao america what are you doing
What a backwards education and legal system
I hope the rapist gets caught and forced to watch Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff: The Movie on loop until he dies of old age.
What the fuck.
As an Alabama native, I'm sadly not at all surprised by this.
literally one of the worst things i've read about this year
literally one of the worst things i've read about this year
I thought the incident where they dumped a bucket of shit on an autistic kid taking the ice bucket challenge was heartless, but this one easily takes the cake in my view for one of the worst happenings this year.
What the fuck, seriously. If I would be that girl I would set whole school on fire, fucking retarded fuckers.
-what the hell am I saying-
American schools are so fucking fucked up.
Not just american schools, the highschool i went to had serious bullying issues that were constantly ignored so the school could say they have never expelled a student- (they also sent the worst violent cunts on trips to theme-parks during Ofsted inspections)-
And the one my twin brother as well as both a previous girlfriend and current my girlfriend went to had a HORRIBLE issue with sexual abuse being ignored. my girlfriend says she thought being groped pinned down and pulled around by boys was normal for most of her teen life because the school would try to play off her complaints as trivial, saying "thats just something you have to get used to as a girl"-
there was a guy there who sexually assaulted multiple girls (one of my ex girlfriends included), was almost constantly harassing girls from class to meet up with him, and got caught storing child porn on his pen-drive. all the school did about it was have multiple "talks" with him and ban the use of usb sticks throughout the entire school.
What kind of a shit plan was that
"lol we'll be there" and nobody is there.
snip
The worst part is you can read about the case some more, and basically the board of education are blaming the girl with, "once she went into the bathroom, it was her fault."
How about instead of playing sting ops they actually should have gotten the police involved? Fucking morons.
I hope everyone involved goes to prison for this. The not only did an illegal sting op, but indirectly made a girl get raped.
No, they were directly involved
The fact that they're blaming the girl is ludicrous. They fucked up and now they have to deal with the consequences. I hope she wins this lawsuit.
America: Where the victims are punished and the criminals aren't.
[sp]before you give me shit for saying that as an "American" person, don't go by my flagdog because I don't actually live in America[/sp]
Except the boy got punished and the girl didn't.

I think it's people like you who plague facepunch and give America a bad name. Please stop posting.
The thing is, we're one of the largest countries in the world. What other countries exist that are of similar size?

Oh, well let's look at that. China is number one. I'm sure they're a great country and this stuff doesn't happen to them. India is a poor country and I'm sure it doesn't happen to them either. The EU doesn't even count; it's just a union of individual countries (in the sense that if you hear news, it's not coming from the 'EU,' it's coming from each respective individual country, so there's no one 'big man' to hate in contrast. This could be applied to the USA if we focused on each individual state, but if one hates on America as a whole in this way, it'd technically be a fallacy of composition, where because one state has a certain quality, one would assume the country would have that same quality as a whole, which clearly isn't the case).
Here's the USA at 318 million people at #3. Has it ever occurred to you (assuming you live in a European country with only a few million people) that bad shit is going to happen? I mean, if shit happened even to 0.001% of the population, it sure as hell would seem like a larger issue in the USA. It's simply because of population. I'm sure you'd love to live in the countries listed above as all the other countries except America are absolutely perfect and clearly don't have these issues.
Here's the thing. These fuck-America hate posts need to stop. Just because you've been told America is a terrible place doesn't actually mean it is. Since when has anything others have told you ever actually been right? I mean hey, I don't want to live here for the rest of my life, but I can't bash on it because while we have our issues, so does everyone else. These 'America: victims get hurt and rapists get away' bullshit posts aren't constructive in the slightest and honestly, I think they should be classified as trolling or flaming. They should be banworthy; they bring nothing to the table in terms of conversation and I might as well post 'first' on an article about America. It'd give me more insight than what you just posted.

Legal and education systems just to name a couple.

so you're saying that these posts are acceptable and are warranted? It's clear there are things about America that should be changed, like every other country in the world. No country is perfect, but that doesn't mean we need to shitpost and scream the fallacy of composition, claiming that because something happened, it's America's fault and it's a terrible place.
My point here is that these posts with this 'Fuck America' attitude need to go. They're not constructive, and there's no reason to have them. I'm not denying we have issues as a country, but continuously getting a spotlight because of it is really fucking annoying. I might as well be reading youtube comments.

I'm willing to hear out anyone who says America sucks and explains why because I personally believe America has some serious societal, economic, and governmental problems that sprout from an out-of-date all-American philosophy. I believe it will tear us apart, and I believe our population is so diverse in ideas that we are stuck in tremendous conflict, bigotry, and ignorance. It creates large pockets of corruption and poverty. America does suck.
All countries suck, though. And I'm not willing to listen to anyone who
a.) doesn't explain why we suck without resorting to half-witted stereotypes
b.) assumes superiority
c.) is not self-aware of their own country's failures
Call me a pessimist, but we need to recognize everything we are doing wrong in order to make change, but we need to recognize those wrongs in a way that allows Americans and any country to actually change.
Anyway, without staying off-topic any longer, I would never be able to live with the guilt of causing another person to be raped, and I would admit to my faults. I'm not sure why people have such a hard problem of admitting to wrong-doings and idly standing by to the demise the brought upon another person. If I were the person in charge of this operation, I would have accepted responsibility, even if it meant ruining my own life. I cannot understand the selfishness of other people.

welcome to american colleges, where plagiarism is a worse crime than rape.

America isn't the shithole that some people paint it out to be, but its not inaccurate to state that the country could use some improvement in various fields. Again, education and justice systems being just two examples. It would also help if our politicians weren't bickering pre-schoolers.
We've kind of established that the country needs to be improved. I even stated that in my post, even though people keep replying with the same thing.
Since when has anything others have told you ever actually been right? I mean hey, I don't want to live here for the rest of my life, but I can't bash on it because while we have our issues, so does everyone else.
Right here, I said we have our issues, like any other country.
Of course, my main point is that we should get rid of those useless 'fuck america' posts, which you actually agreed with me on. We're on the same page, Solo Wing. :v:

Yes, there are plenty of things to dislike about America, but that can be said about ANY country.
Sooo....
Is he getting in trouble for this, or what?
