Things like this is also exactly why I carry a KaBar knife (where it's legal) on my side and a .45 pistol half the time if anyone remembers that argument (People said there was no reason to carry a pistol).

It's the fact that it was a living human being. Have a little bit of empathy, that was a fucking man dying. Not dead, dying, you saw a man dying and you show no compassion?

Same here, I just won't watch it out of respect for the man who died. I wouldn't hesitate to cut the throats of the ones responsible for such a murder though, if they had just shot him in the head and filmed the body, fine, 15 to 30 years in prison, but torturing someone to death is one of the worst crimes that can ever be committed by anyone.

If he has nothing to gain from killing someone he won't, well, actually if the negative consequences are more abundant than the positive consequences then he will have an extremely low likelihood of killing another person. He of course also needs the necessary materials to kill, and be in the right location and 'time'.

Materials to kill - a rock, a fist, a peice of plastic, a pillow, a pen, a lamp, a hammer, a rake, a shovel... I think you get where I'm going with this.

The smaller less lethal items were to demonstrate a point but I'm fairly certain that common household items such as hammers, mallets, shovels, irons, barbels, etc have a high potential to kill. Bludgeoning > Human skull. And who doesn't have a knife.
