Bernie should heed Trump's advice and run as independent. Screw over the crooked party that screwed him over.
Sanders lost fair and square, stop blaming the democratic party. If Sanders runs as an independent it would destroy his political career along with any progress he has made this election cycle.
Trump already has the nomination in the bag so he doesn't need to, and Sander's wouldn't split the party like that.
It's still a private party, they can still screw him out of the nomination.
Who knows, it's a whole different game if there's an independent.
Yea, a whole different game in the sense the election will be a landslide in one direction.
Calling out the mods, but not man enough to do it yourself when you're so sure?
Yea bro MAN up dude don't be a pussy be a man about it lmao
it would destroy his political career along with any progress he has made this election cycle.
What does this post mean? What progress? If he loses he's a near retirement age politician with a failed grass roots campaign.
It's still a private party, they can still screw him out of the nomination.
He'd have to winning first for them to screw him out of a win.
He'd have to winning first for them to screw him out of a win.
Trump, not Sanders.
What does this post mean? What progress? If he loses he's a near retirement age politician with a failed grass roots campaign.
What do you mean. If Sanders throws the election with independent run, (which he undoubtedly would throw it), any support he has within the democratic party would be gone. With that any sort of chance of him actually being able to change anything. He would go down in history as the man who gave the presidency of the united states to Donald Trump.

I don't think Sanders owes the democratic party much at this point.
Trump, not Sanders.
Republican Party doesn't want to commit political suicide. [editline]4th May 2016[/editline]
I'm talking specifics here. What support are you talking about? I don't think Sanders owes the democratic party much at this point.
Sanders has had the support of the Democratic Party for most of his stay in politicos.
Sanders has had the support of the Democratic Party for most of his stay in politicos.
Yeah I'm aware.
It's still a private party, they can still screw him out of the nomination.
At this point, giving the nomination to Sanders would be screwing Clinton. Like it or not, she's winning by every measure that matters. She's got a majority of the popular vote, and a majority of the state delegates, and has been leading in the polls for quite some time - all by a bigger margin than any of the irregularities can account for. I think Bernie would be a better president, and I voted accordingly, but like it or not, Hillary winning is democracy in action. I may not like the results, but I respect the process. Edit: Don't get me wrong, I'd love for Bernie to be president. But it's only fair if he actually wins. Me wanting him to be president does not invalidate the fairly large number of people who prefer Hillary.
Yeah I'm aware.
Then why did you ask what support he was talking about.
I'm talking specifics here. What support are you talking about? I don't think Sanders owes the democratic party much at this point.
Sanders owes his Senate seat to the Democrats. He owes them a lot.
Then why did you ask what support he was talking about.
What support would he be losing. He isn't part of the democratic party, he was viewed as an outsider and treated like one. More superdelegates endorsed Hillary Clinton by March than Obama had at the time of the convention. I don't think he owes the democratic party much and I don't think he's going to be seen in a pleasant light by them anymore after his attacks on Hillary.
Without that backing he wouldn't be anywhere close to where he is now. You probably wouldn't even know who he is
Sanders owes his Senate seat to the Democrats. He owes them a lot.
Nah
What support would he be losing. He isn't part of the democratic party, he was viewed as an outsider and treated like one. He is part of the democratic party.
You don't even know what party he is apart of. He is part of the democratic party.
No he caucuses with Democrats. He's not a Dem

Not sure what you're trying to say.
No he caucuses with Democrats. He's not a Dem
He is virtually a democrat when he has all his political power because of them.
Your last post agrees Sanders has had support from the Democratic Party for decades and now you say he hasn't. Not sure what you're trying to say.
He has had support for decades and now he doesn't. You just actually said what I was saying.
No he caucuses with Democrats. He's not a Dem
He's not going to pull another Vermont and drop to independent if he won the nomination. [editline]4th May 2016[/editline]
He has had support for decades and now he doesn't. You just actually said what I was saying.
They haven't ostracized him from the party. If he remains a senator they'll still be supporting him and him supporting them.
I think you mean just the presidential election, since if she loses the primary she loses the presidential election by default.
That is absolutely not true.
That is absolutely not true.
Can't rough the duff.
Sanders as a independent is a high risk/high reward investment. He'd take a sizable chunk of the dem vote and I imagine there are plenty of conservatives pissed off to high hell with the GOP which is part of why Trump is doing so well and that they would gladly go with the option which in their minds would bring the country down to prove a point to the GOP leaders. Take whatever unaffiliated voters are out there who don't want to have to pick between a blue and red turd and he has a possible chance at the White House. High risk, high reward.
Can't rough the duff.
Everyone we must vote for Hilary Duff or we're all doomed! A lot of the people I've talked to that hate Sanders know absolutely nothing about him(the craziest actually claimed that he'll take 90% of our money. what.) -- with that being said the people I talked to were pretty rabid Fox News viewers.
Wait holy shit Bernie's leading in Indiana! Less than 5% but still a firm lead so far, with 50% in.
Hearing Cruz is out. For real?
