How's that even possible
Not everyone goes searching for gore and other fucked up shit on the internet.
Not everyone goes searching for gore and other fucked up shit on the internet.
Ofc not, but like in this thread alone it can pop up pretty easily.
Oooh fuck fuck fuck fuck, Why did I click that. I can handle gore, but seeing someone like that... I don't know what's worse, the pictures or how calm he is.
If it was a normal strangling incident, I don't think I would react that much. However the fact that he posted it on /b/, said "She fought so damn hard", and even knew how the kid would react just astounds me.
How's that even possible

I've seen the blurry gore pictures on Reddit and stuff but never anything so clear and close up.
Well Kalac is being held on a 2 million dollar bail and they might seek the death penalty it was also confirmed that it was her 13 year old son who discovered the body, however it was covered up and not like the way he portrayed her in the pictures that were posted. Given all the talk about the "toughness battle" in this thread, I want to provide the disclaimer that my intentions are not to show that I am emotionally invisible. However, the fact that he was able to maintain a calm manner in response to the whole ordeal is not at all surprising to me. When you are pushed over the edge as a human being, many things like empathy dissolve. He is still able to understand and logically process things - but in this case, all that was left in his head was a plan, expectations, and the will to murder. You have to wonder how far you have to be pushed before you develop such an apathy. What would it take to make you think like a serial killer? These things don't necessarily shock me either, because I am able to imagine and provide examples of how it has happened in the past. I also have an incredibly despised empathy for those who have lost their empathy, or have gone over the edge to do terrible things, because more often then not there is a reason that makes you question if the real monster is society. Serial killings are one of those things that people like to disassociate with human behavior, but sometimes I like to think of it as something that is simply unlocked, like Pandora's Box. That's what I think about with this serial killer - that's what disturbs me the most. I am disturbed and intrigued to find out what unlocked his ruthless apathy. What broke him? What is his story? I also attribute the fact that I am not disturbed to the fact that it's really all I know. My mother has been overprotective all my life, telling me horror stories all the time about what has happened to her, her family, her friends - everyone. One of my relatives that I never had the chance to meet was actually murdered to death with a knife as soon as she opened her front door. My friend was thrown out of a moving car by an abusive boyfriend, which killed her. People are crazy, and it's reported on the news all the time. I hate Nancy Grace so much for her portrayal of people, but the point is you never go a day without hearing something as mortifying and terrible as this. And even if something like this isn't true, you still have fictional media to desensitize you and even intensify false tropes. Some people in this thread are absolutely mortified by this, and some are mortified that others aren't mortified, but I just can't find it in myself to be so shocked at something like this. I, as well as many others, are constantly surrounded by the concept of murder, and serial killings. It doesn't matter that it's not a statistically popular occurrence - it's just not foreign to me. I feel horrible for this family, and I feel horrible for the person that was murdered.
