I'm not really shocked by this, honestly. Someone at some point was going to do it.
one psychopath and rapist doesn't make an entire group of people a bunch of psychopaths and rapists i'm not defending /b/ but i fucking hate this mentality
I'll defend /b/. Pretty much everything on there is posted ironically. Most of the people are pretty normal.
what the fuck is going on here
what the fuck is going on here
News comments I assume? Yeah, they're like youtube comments. If you pretend they don't exist everything is better.
The media are gonna have a field day with this, I hope this doesn't blow back too hard on the site. /b/ is shithole, but /tv/ /sp/ & /mu/ are great.
He was a misogynist like most people on /b/ he just decided to take one step further, everyone on /b/ is a potential rapist and murderer.
You see, he was an agent of the patriarchy here to murder all women! Wake up sheeple!
I wanna click that link but I don't wanna to regret seeing it.
I clicked and immediately closed. The 2 seconds I glanced was enough to make my heart sink. I don't want to sleep anymore.
You see, he was an agent of the patriarchy here to murder all women! Wake up sheeple!
Well, not to jump into the middle of another pointless debate on patriarchy and feminish, but I'd argue that pretty much anybody who would murder, and presumably rape, a woman and then boast about it online has some pretty deeply seeded psychological issues. Misogynistic ideologies don't seem too far a stretch, considering the circumstances...

Though ofc there's way too little information on this guy so far to make any judgements. Also when I mentioned elliot rodgers, I was referring to his overall hate of society for outcasting him being displayed via his racist and misogynistic thoughts within his manifesto and video. Just mentioning this for those unaware, pretty easy to look up the video if you want to see what I'm talking about, I don't remember if the racism part was in the video though.

I'm not saying it as a bragging point either, I can't stand to look at gore, but I've been immunised to it slightly.
this is fucking mental even if it isn't considered surprising from /b/ I actually wanted it to be the badage boys for once, upon opening the thread. what else is there to say really, if this /b/ thread and pic is actually linked to the same murder in the news post, this is just an example of true human depravity. A shame she had to die in such a way way. That picture is beyond fucked from the context
I'm not surprised. A lot of people these days seem to be desensitized. I don't think it's because you don't care, I think it's just because it happens so frequently and becomes to publicized that you can't help but get used to it. It's become a reality that the majority of us have come to accept.
I don't know what I was expecting when I clicked that link. I've seen corpses before but...that's still just fucked up.
Facepunch: Traumatizing the youth since 2004
There’s a reddit thread about it, and an ‘article’ was written linking back to it. Murderer Possibly Posts Photos of Victim On 4Chan Before Crime Reported - Latest
supposedly this is the guy
seems like alot of these fucked up people go on 4chan
You're just noticing this now?
seems like alot of these fucked up people go on 4chan
Yea, I mostly quit /b/ at least back in 10 because I was seriously getting affected by just the mass amount of antisocial disgusting BS. Like you couldn't go a day without seeing something that straight up was burned into my mind for years because it was just CP, animal abuse, gore, murder, rape, over and over with some porn threads and occasionally something else. It's lighter on that stuff now, but it's not a community of healthy people, it's not a healthy community. Some of the other boards aren't bad, I mean they all share that ideology that's borderline antisocial, but you can at least enjoy these boards for their community and content. I spent a lot of time on /wg/ and /x/ and I enjoyed them. /b/ was really the only toxic community then, so there was a defense for 4chan. Iunno how it is now.
Why do people like this even exist. /b/ really is just a cesspool for breeding all sorts of sick and twisted people. I don't know what to say other than I feel bad for humanity.
Why do people like this even exist. /b/ really is just a cesspool for breeding all sorts of sick and twisted people. I don't know what to say other than I feel bad for humanity.
How many millions go on 4chan a month compared to how many of them would conduct a crime like this?
supposedly this is the guy
Remember how the internet went on a witch hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers? Yeah...take a look at how that turned out.
How many millions go on 4chan a month compared to how many of them would conduct a crime like this?
yeah but maybe society would just be a better place in general without depraved websites like 4chan.
yeah but maybe society would just be a better place in general without depraved websites like 4chan.
You sound like you never visited it. 4chan isn't a small community, it has 20 million visitors a month. It's comprised of dozens of boards. One board, /b/ is the main controversial forum. Visit any of the SFW boards and it's pretty normal.
The media are gonna have a field day with this, I hope this doesn't blow back too hard on the site. /b/ is shithole, but /tv/ /sp/ & /mu/ are great.
You're just as sick as the guy who killed that lady if you seriously think /tv/, /sp/ and /mu/ are good boards.
Remember how the internet went on a witch hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers? Yeah...take a look at how that turned out.
Hell, what if that's actually the son? It's certainly possible.
Someone could just as easily post about this on 8chan.
Easier considering 8chan has even looser moderation. Also, does anyone else here remember that one time a guy posted himself torturing a cat to 4chan and they tracked him down and got him arrested? It's a bit of a tangent, but in a situation like this it's a decent reminder that people are still somewhat capable of good.
Remember how the internet went on a witch hunt for the Boston Marathon bombers? Yeah...take a look at how that turned out.
To be fair, 4chan has quite a few success stories of witch hunts against animal abusers and stuff. They once even managed to trace a guy that was livestreaming killing himself inside his room and call the cops on him. [editline]5th November 2014[/editline]
yeah but maybe society would just be a better place in general without depraved websites like 4chan.
I seriously hope you don't actually believe this. 4chan has no impact on society whatsoever. A murderer isn't not gonna murder someone just because 4chan doesn't exist. That's insane. You are also implying that any of the boards is nearly as bad as /b/. I regularly browse /a/, /v/, /k/ and /o/ and I can tell you: they aren't.
To be fair, 4chan has quite a few success stories of witch hunts against animal abusers and stuff. They once even managed to trace a guy that was livestreaming killing himself inside his room and call the cops on him.
That's definitely true. Hell, I'm starting to doubt whether some /b/ members were in on the Marathon witch hunt or not...
The image isn't really bad, by dead people standards. It's a naked woman with a pale face with closed eyes with a not-too-graphic cut on her neck.
There's tons of gore threads and what not on /b/ daily, what makes this one disturbing is how "in the now" it is
Do you ever make a post that isn't completely retarded?
lol a huge chunk of your posting is discussion on furry avatars I don't think you're in position to judge
